An absolute nightmare. A much anticipated visit to this establishment left us in utter disgust. We had a reservation for 6pm, Drinks, Starters and Mains were ordered by 6:30pm. We received our Drinks and Starters by 6:45pm. We then waited until 7:30pm (a whole hour after our order has been placed). I made an enquiry with one of the waiters about our order, it seemed as if she wasn't pleased with me questioning about my meal saying there's been a mix up in the kitchen and that she'd be happy to cancel my order. (WTH) Why would you want to cancel my order, I have clearly made reservations for dinner? I then approached a guy who seemed to be the manager and was immediately recieved by impolite behaviour. He raised his voice at me saying he knows there's been a mix up with the kitchen and it's already been taken care of. My concern was that for an entire hour no person had checked up us or relayed the message the there has been a mistake in the kitchen. As a manager or what he was he refused to listen to the customer shouting in front of everyone that there's nothing he can do. "I" was never approached with an apology for slow service "I" had to enquire about my meal and the long wait. The waiter I had asked did not come back to me with an update. The manager and absolutely no customer care etiquette and has never heard of the the term the "the customer is always priority" As a guest we should have never had an exchange of words over our dinner table and infront of patrons. He obviously shows disregard for paying clients and of course the establishment that the owner has created. He's not only been rude to myself and my partner but also to those guests who had been in close proximity of our conversation. (Which again should never of happened)
*Just to mention that the drinks were amazing we were very much blown away with the presentation and the food was great delectable.

We are foreign but visit Berlin very regularly. And almost every time, we tried to visit Bellboy. Usually on Sundays, when live jazz music is offered.
Like I said above, Bellboy was a important reason to visit Berlin. You could get the best sushi we ever tasted, while live jazz played by men and women in sharp suits, while drinking amazing cocktails and getting perfect service.
Well, the cocktails are still amazing. But the rest changed.
The food menu has changed recently and now offers boring 13-in-a-dozen stuff like beetroot- or beef carpaccio, tomato salad, bread and chicken salad. Or if you still try to get some seafood: oysters (around EUR 40 for 6!!) and Hamachi Sashimi (sold out when we were there). This change is really our biggest disappointment. Their menu used to be so nice and everybody we ever took there was amazed by the quality. Now, it’s just another place where you can eat overpriced mediocre food.
Wine is priced around EUR 17-21 per glass which is pretty exorbitant.
Also, the musicians don’t wear suits anymore, but are often dressed kinda casual and don’t really seem to interact with the public. They don’t bring the ‘wow-factor’ to the place, something they definitely used to do.
The receptionist that used to welcome you as if you were a VIP guest, is now just doing her job and couldn’t care less about you being there.
The guests don’t adhere to a smart casual dresscode anymore. We have ppl seen turned away in the past, but that time has long gone, it seems.
Again, some of the flaws were already there. The prices were always high, that is true. But special places can be pricey, that’s ok. It’s just not a special place...

The cocktails offered here are nothing short of exceptional. During our visit, we were treated to four rounds of expertly crafted drinks that were tailored to our individual preferences and the phase of our evening. I personally chose Mazcal-based cocktails and was delighted by each and every one. Not only were they delicious, but they also exuded extravagance in their presentation, adding an extra layer of allure to the overall experience.
