Café Martha at Schulz Hotel Berlin Wall — Restaurant in Berlin

Hospitable and respect is mentioned on the website by the founders as strong values that the company is built on. Yet, you will receive the very opposite from some staff members. Specifically Kevin the main barman who is rude, arrogant and very abusive. We have traveled the world and never been in a hotel with such an abusive member of staff who tells customers to F- off. The young immature man is the most disrespectful and least knowledgeable barman I have ever come across and in reality put a nasty end to an otherwise great day out in the wonderful city of Berlin. Avoid this place like the plague. If I could give a zero or minus star this place would get it. Food order was wrong, poor quality food but the abusive, arrogant behaviour of an employee who clearly has no respect for the company values he works for is shocking. Be aware, others in the restaurant & bar also received the same treatment. The hotel reception staff laughed when we complained about the barman attitude / actions. Especially the sandwiches and bagels are really enjoyable through and through. The staff puts them in kind of a miniature grill to toast it and melt the cheese. (of the sandwiches) As it is a Portuguese cafe, most of the sweet treats are things I have not seen before. Been here multiple times and can especially recommend the „bolo de arroz“ as well as the croissants. The atmosphere is lovely with everyone just sitting and enjoining their coffee or hot chocolate. Great little cafe in the reception of the hotel, open to the public. Only seating inside which was a pity on a warm spring day.

Coffee was superb a little too hot but that was a minor detail. Pastry was fresh and delicious. Have the cinnamon croissant!
