We are 2 UK born Indians...one a vegetarian and one a non veg. We live in NW London.... An area known for outstanding competitive Indian restaurants. We are spoilt for choice there and always compare to food back there! Post an exhausting touristy day, having finished at the east gallery, we were ready for dinner.
This did not disappoint. The food was outstanding. Each dish a different taste. Service fabulous. We had the poppadoms and pickle tray, followed by bateta vada and onion bhajia. The vada were served with an amazing flavoursome sambal.
Mains are served with rice. We ordered the kofta (made with lotus root) and the chili paneer. We were blown away by the individual delicate amazing flavours.
We also had bhatura - a fried Indian bread which I love. This was lovely too! Fully fluffed and rounded and not overly greasy.
Dessert was a gulab jamun trifle... Traditional jamun layered with mango cream and crumbled cake. Was so different and though we were so so stuffed, we finished it.
Defo recommend this place. It's not your commercialised Indian. It's true authentic food and the menu choices reflect this. We defo felt it matched up to our local infamous restaurants and would definitely be back if visiting...
Read moreWe decided to travel to this Indian restaurant thinking that it was fitting into ayurvedic idea for food. Well, after having the food, we had diarrhea. We had the vegan thali, which was meant for two people. Dal shorba, which was the starter was decent. However, the main course was composed of three dishes with rice and bhatura. One dish of the three seemed to be okay. However, the other two, especially the one with palak, tasted really off. And the desert at the end was the most disappointing one of all. We took one bite and had to literally throw the food away.
Initially, during ordering time, we had asked the front staff whether we could exchange one of the dishes in the thali with another one. He said it was fixed and not possible to change. After having the food, one of us had diarrhea, and the other had vomiting.
Will never ever return to this restaurant. It is a disappointment.

I have been eating at this restaurant for almost 3 years. Hari Moksha is a wonderful Indian restaurant that strikes a great balance between traditional flavours and a modern dining experience. The owners are super friendly and amazing people. I eat a lot of their business lunch, and it was a pleasant surprise—generous portions, good variety, and freshly prepared dishes that hit the spot.
I would recommend trying Paneer curries almost all, and the mango lassi—creamy, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the spicier dishes.
The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.
The only drawback is that it...
