We ordered Nachos, there was barely any cheese on the chips so we asked the waitress if we could have extra cheese, the lady who was serving us replied with attitude...telling us that is the way they make the nachos and nobody has ever complained about the amount of cheese. She leaves and we flag down another waiter, she says to him - don’t go there - we could hear her from our table. Eventually after a couple of minutes the waiter dude comes to our table and we asked how much it would cost for extra cheese, he replied and says 50cents, so we are like great please bring more cheese to make the nachos nicer because the cheese is lacking and we are basically eating heated tortilla chips. Doesn’t this lady come over to our table and tell us that we can leave if we don’t like the food, the restaurant/bar is a collective and that’s how they make the Nachos. She was ready to start a fight with us, we told her that we aren’t leaving and had asked for extra cheese of which we will pay for and she must learn how to treat her customers better. There was no need for attitude or for being defensive. We asked for cheese that we were...
Read moreNice atmosphere, coffee is good, food is okay, menu offers a fair amount of vegan items. Lots of tourists, less of the types of people you expect to see in a Kollektiv. Owners seem nice. The brunch is okay, but advertised to be set at a an amount or a suggested donation decided by the customer, yet the cashier did not ask what we wanted to pay, she just charged the set price as she rang up our bill. I would suggest that they not insinuate that the brunch price is not a set price (this only annoys the customer and kills trust). I would also suggest that they get someone a little more skilled in setting up a vegan menu for the brunch and maybe someone more skilled in vegan cooking. It's really not that hard to find vegan yogurt in the supermarkets, make vegan pancakes or add some spice to the Rührtofu. Otherwise there are a lot of great gigs put on at the place, but I've not tried any of their alcoholic drinks. I wish...
Read moreWe came there for the Sunday brunch. The vegan food is really good and varied. We had the chance to try out something new there. However, it's pretty unorganized in terms of seating. If you come before 1pm, the queue is huge, people are standing inside and waiting to be seated, blocking the entrance and the way to the buffet, and usually you just have to do it by yourself and ask the tables around if it's ok to join them. It's super uncomfortable. Some people are almost fighting with others to get seated and your nice Sunday brucnch gets stressful becauseyou haveti fightyour way to it. We were waiting around 30 minutes to get a place, and although there was a waitlist, we had to find it by ourselves and to make sure we do it before the others in the queue do it as we were there earlier. I'd definitely recommend to go there after 1pm, when it gets...
