It's a nice place, good food, authentic menu but still a lot to improve regarding diversity. I arrived with a few tables free, not that much customers, and still took a while to be served. Other tables that arrived after served faster, the waitress (a guy) was more responsible and caring with the other table with white "acceptable" look. He was asking other tables if everything was ok, if everything was fine, but never with me. Literally, I was just eating here.but not feeling well served at all. Try to imagine you arrive in a place and see everyone around being treated differently in a better way and the only table treated differently was yours? So yeah, that's what's happened. I still left a tip of around 6 euros and stayed drinking another beer and a couple, fully "European standards" treated better and all the time asked if everything is fine if everything is good. note: you might think why I still left a tip. This is who I am and what I believe. If you don't do a good job, it's your fault and the employees you hire to serve us. And a place mainly operated by immigrants not looking after this? Something got...
Read moreAuthentic Japanese's izakaya. The menu is straightforward, they're doing yakitori and stick to it, that's great. The products are fresh and very tasty. I would recommend not putting the same sauce to all yakitori but sometimes just salt or pepper or anything different, it would make the whole set much tastier. I also was a bit disappointed because they didn't have my favourite yakitori I was always taking while living in Tokyo, the chicken/duck hearts. But I cannot put the blame in the restaurant, it must be complicated to find or sell in Europe They've a fair selection of sake which I appreciated very much. Too bad it was missing the location of the brewery. A great Japanese experience,...
Read moreDecent cook on the yakitori (good char), would have appreciated some leeks or a richer tasting sauce. Chicken balls and tebasaki were quite good. The sauces for dipping were a little underwhelming. Major negative was actually the rice (not of good quality and too dry) but I doubt the average customer would notice the difference so I did not deduct a star for that.
Good and quick service, very reasonable prices. Avoid the ramen as it isn’t their specialty so it tastes more like a plain noodle soup than anything else.
Definitely above average Japanese food in Berlin and yakitori places are really uncommon here. Would come by again if I was in the...
