Cafe & Bäckerei Schokochino — Restaurant in Berlin

Worst experience in Berlin! 11 am, monday morning. The place is empty, no customers: just me and my friend. We order coffees and two full german breaksfasts, consisting in cheese, eggs and salami, nothing difficult to arrange, I guess. Off couse we pay in advance: 14 euros. After 20 minutes we are still waiting. No coffee, no dishes, no bread, no cutlery. When I ask where our breakfast have gone the lame answer from the waiters is in german and sounds like "yeah yeah it's coming don't bother". Then one comes with the dishes and cutlery but says nothing. Then 5 minutes more, still nothing. Then a tray of fresh sandwiches comes from the kitchen and goes to the shop window. At that point I got a little bit angry, I return to the waiters and ask for our beakfast, now one says: "the chef is alone in the kitchen", Yes you read it right, she doesn't say: "I'm very sorry, we have problems in the kitchen, maybe I can serve you a free coffee", no no, she says: "the chef is alone in the kitchen" and then she serves a client with a sandwich from the window. At that point I refuse to be annoyed by those simpleton waiters and decide go away. I need to be translated from some clients because they doesn't understand english (perfet for a shop in Berlin, I believe). The waiters says that the breakfast are coming but, at that point, after 30 minutes of waiting with not a single sorry just because this place has logistic issues with the staff (that are definetely not my problems) I decide that it's enough, I surely refuse to eat in a place where I am a fool to be exploited and not a customer who pays. Speaking about money, obviously I ask for my money back but unfortunately the waiters have a super good reason to not give our money back: they just cannot. UNFREUNDLICHE ABZOCKE MIT FIKTIVEN PREISEN! MOST UNFRIENDLY RIP-OFF WITH MADE UP PRICES! Als ich vor kurzem ein belegtes Baguette zum Frühstück kaufen wollte, dass laut Schild in der Vitrine 2,00€ kostet, wurde ich aufgefordert 2,50€ zu zahlen. Als ich auf das Schild verwies, da ich annahm der Herr hätte sich vertan, wurde mir nur flapsig ein "ist andere" hingeknallt. Als ich dann nochmal nachfragte, was denn an meinem belegten Baguette anders sei, kam seine Frau dazu und beide fingen an in aggressivem Ton auf mich einzureden. Da ich hungrig war und los musste, nahm ich das Baguette und ging. Als ich dem Laden ein paar Wochen später eine zweite Chance geben wollte, passierte wieder das gleiche. Diesmal schaltete sich ein anderer Kunde mit ein, als mir der Verkäufer 2,90€ für ein belegtes Körnerbaguette abknöpfen wollte, das laut Schild in der Vitrine 2,50€ kosten soll. Wieder die gleiche Erklärung: "ist andere". Als ich ihn dann fragte was denn dann das Körnerbaguette für 2,50€ sein soll, wurde wahllos auf irgendwelche kleinen Brötchen gezeigt (Größtenteils ohne Körner). Da wir uns mit dem Argument nicht zufrieden gaben, stapfte die junge Mitarbeiterin (höchstwahrscheinlich seine Tochter) nach vorne, drückte uns zur Seite und nahm das Schild mit den Preisen aus der Vitrine, mit dem Kommentar: "Brötchen oder Baguette, ist doch das gleiche!". Das nenn ich mal Ahnung von seinem Job haben. Wieso denn dann unterschiedliche Preise? NIE WIEDER! Sollte die Bäckerei nicht dem unfreundlichen Trio gehören, rate ich dem Inhaber wärmstens neues Personal einzustellen. Scheinbar hat sich die Kunde bereits verbreitet, denn für eine Bäckerei direkt an der Eberswalder Straße, ist der Laden doch immer...

Breakfast is rather poor, we had the oma and meditoranian one, it's really nothing special. There are plenty of way better breakfast places around. So I guess it's our mistake, we came for Sunday breakfast that was supposed to be nicer than at home and that's not a place for that. But if you want to grab a fast sandwich or salad or croissant I think it's fine. It's definitely more a convenient bakery/cafe close to ubahn than a cozy/fancy/cute weekend...
