Cafe Journale — Restaurant in Berlin

This place had a nice atmosphere and the service was awesome. However the pasta was mediocre. The reason why it was mediocre because he didn't use spices such as garlic in their dishes. My wife had a mushroom and chicken in a white wine sauce. The only thing that you could taste was onion chicken mushroom and the wine sauce. It wasn't any other counterbalancing flavors with garlic or other spices. I had a rigatoni dish called the journal and it suffered from the same thing It didn't not have garlic. I don't know if it's just my American taste buds but it really needed garlic and salt...

Walking around Berlin on our first night here we happened across this small Italian place and decided to stop in for a bite to eat and a few beers.

There are tables outside but we choose to eat inside because it was a cool night. The beers were cold and the food was hot and delicious.

i ordered the pasta scampi. noodles were cooked to perfection and the tomato sauce is delicious.

The waiter tolerated my broken German just fine, and the check was cheaper than i anticipated. i don't hesitate to recommend this place if you're looking for...

Nice place and nice staff, unfortunately the pizza was not that impressive and reminded a bit of a frozen pizza you buy in a grocery store.

Of course frozen pizzas can taste good, which this one did, but we had expected a little more. but the price was good and the beer was very thirst-quenching on a hot day.
