Zhong Hua — Restaurant in Berlin

Very reasonably priced good Chinese food in fairly central location. The outside of the restaurant is very plain and not many people inside, one would surely assume this restaurant to be not very good but it was quite the opposite.

The interior of the restaurant looks very authentic and traditional look (not too overly done like some other Chinese places) with a pleasant relaxing Chinese music on the background. To my surprise, the menu was both in German and English, and they were properly written. Prices are very reasonable for lunch for around €5-6, and dinner for €6-8. I went for dinner, and ordered €6.5 pork dish, which miraculously included a good portion of rice! To my even more surprise, it was actually a fairly dish. I ordered food from this restaurant for delivery and it was, hands down, the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. We ordered three dishes two of the three were literally inedible. I threw it in the trash after tasting. I ordered the crispy duck, sweet and sour chicken, and beef noodles. The duck had no flavor but char. The chicken was like eating cardboard and the sauce was inferior to the one that comes on diet frozen meal sweet and sour chicken. I ordered delivery from here for the first time today. I ordered wonton soup, spring rolls and crispy chicken and noodles. The food arrived quickly, it was all edible, not scary, but definitely nothing special. As someone else pointed out, there really aren’t any vegetables in the noodles. Like not a single vegetable, so I’m not sure why the menu description states that there are some there and the spring rolls are either not vegetarian at all, or they contain the best imitation chicken I’ve ever found. Would I order from here again......
