The food here was really tasty albeit not the healthiest in the world. The service was stiff and they worked at a really slow pace, but that's a common problem in Germany. They have no idea what customer care is at all. Germany is not a service country. It's obvious that these service employees, like all service employees in Germany, hate their job.
Understandable, it may not be the greatest job in the world, but I do value professionalism, and that means to put on a happy face when you work with people even if you don't like it.
Even if you've had a crappy day or if you hate your job that doesn't mean you have to ruin it for everyone else. Smile, and the world will smile back at you.
I've worked as a waiter myself, and I wasn't always happy doing it. Some days I just didn't feel like it, but I still made sure my customers had a great time because that's what they are paying for. My experience regarding the cafe was a 30 minute wait for eggs and bacon; which were atleast provided with smile (I appreciated that). Junge Die Bäckerei also has...

The service was utterly awful - very aggressive shouting in German at both my family and the group behind us when deciding what to have.
This moody and unpleasant service continued where it felt like our presence was an embuggerance despite my attempts to at least have a go at ordering in German.
The food, when it came, was just about average (at best) but the lattes were barely warm and were comprised of about 30% coffee and 70% froth.
Overall, an extremely poor experience totally uncharacteristic of an otherwise very welcoming stay in Berlin.
Avoid - there are several much better bakeries...
