I just ate here for the first time, ordering in bc of the pandemic. Amazing!!!! Cannot wait to go in person ASAP (but I’ll continue to order in while necessary). The sushi was both visually gorgeous and deliciously fresh. The gyoza and crab balls were perfect and accompanied by fantastic dipping sauces. I intend on eventually trying the whole menu :)

Update: I’ve ordered in 2 more times (so about 9 items off the menu now) and this place can do no wrong!! Delicious perfection. Lockdown restrictions are now being lifted so I’m definitely going in person ASAP-

Later update: Ok I’ve now gone in person twice and the food, cocktails, decor, and service are great (there was an error on our bill but they corrected it swiftly and politely). However, that politeness may go too far: two homeless women kept coming in, yelling and disturbing everyone and they made zero attempt to deal with it. I understand if they were hesitant to approach them directly but it literally took them 20 minutes to pick up the phone and call the cops. Another 10 for the cops to arrive and another 5 to clear the scene. Meal kind of ruined. They should’ve offered a round of drinks...

I have to agree with those reviewers who comment on the quality of sushi here. It’s really exceptional!

The grade of sushi they use is much much better than in the majority of Berlin establishments. I am not exaggerating.

I travel for food and I have tried sushi restaurants in Berlin that are higher rated and more popular, but the majority of these places do not offer the quality you will find here. Try the “Otoro” (tuna belly) maki rolls - you won’t be disappointed. Or the regular tuna maki with chives. Stick to the simple maki or inside-out rolls if you want to taste the melty and buttery texture of their salmon and tuna.

I ate twice during my short stay in Berlin and I will be back for more as soon as I can.

We recently visited Est. and I must say, it was a delightful experience overall. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the service was friendly and prompt. The standout dishes were definitely the octopus salad and the udon dishes, which I would highly recommend to anyone visiting this restaurant. However, one issue we encountered was that we ordered around 6 dishes to share, and they were all served almost simultaneously instead of being gradually served to the table. Despite this, the flavors were still great and we enjoyed our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some delicious modern Japanese cuisine. Just be aware that when you order multiple dishes, you may want to request that they be served gradually...

Came here for dinner because it was close to where we had tickets for a show that evening. We were seated promptly, our orders were taken promptly, and we were served our drinks and the first menu items in a timely manner. The gyōza were suberbly yummy, and the spicy tuna roll was fresh and delicious. Then we waited for our final sushi item. And we waited. And we waited some more. Finally we asked the waiter about the delay, and he mumbled something about frying taking longer. It took over 20 minutes from the clearing up of our first items to get the sushi roll, which even by relaxed European standards is a bit much. We had to scurry a bit to get to the concert in time. But the gyōza is definitely worth a detour!

Overall a good experience. The service was excellent and very attentive. The food tasted good aswell, but unfortunately for my fried prawns the batter was exceedingly thick (so much so that some were quite soggy). The steak was a bit too done, but I did not tell them how far I wanted it done. The last dish was just some sushi, here I picked upon recommendation the Otoro maki, which turned out to be quite nice. I really liked sitting outside in the location near Kurfürstendamm but in a very quite side road. So overall the only downside would be the price, as I payed 45€ for three dishes slightly smaller than side dishes and a sweetened iced green tea.
