We visited Bistro Richard as a family of four, curious to discover this discreet little spot. From the outside, it’s easy to miss — but as soon as you step inside, the surprise is immediate. The decor and overall atmosphere are truly beautiful and inviting.

For our meal, we sampled a wide variety of dishes, mostly vegetarian except for the ribeye steak. In fact, we tried almost all of the starters and shared many of the appetizers. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked, which we appreciated.

We accompanied our meal with orange and rosé wines by the glass. Both were decent, if not particularly memorable.

Overall, we had a pleasant evening and enjoyed the experience. However, we didn’t get that “wow” effect when it came to flavor combinations or seasoning. The hollandaise sauce served with the artichoke lacked depth, as did the vinaigrette. The béarnaise that came with the steak didn’t contain any tarragon, so it wasn’t quite a béarnaise at all.

In short: a beautiful restaurant with a charming ambiance, but the cuisine could use more creativity and boldness, especially in the seasoning. We’d rate the overall quality-to-price ratio around 6 or...

Let me start by saying the food was great! we truly enjoyed small nibbles and tartar for starters; shallot tart tatin and lamb were also fantastic. The end with Swiss meringue was pleasant highlight. Kudos to kitchen team and 5* to that. high quality of food stayed and was appreciated.

But service was actually disappointing, which really surprised us as we visited Richard before it became Bistro and were really satisfied. We came at 6:30, and later on Bistro was only half full!

This time we felt super ignored by the service team: no refill of drinks were offered, empty plates and glasses stayed forever on the table waited and waved so long until someone noticed us when we wanted another glass of wine or dessert, super annoying. we thought it couldn’t end any worth but it did. Obviously for this kind of service no tips is to be expected. BUT one of the service team members after asking 3 times if we are paying tips, and we answered NO, still billed the tips! And after showed pissed off attitude that he had to correct the bill. That really became ridiculous and unprofessional.

But again 5* compliments to the...

The service was top-notch—our waiter had a certain charm, offering helpful tips and detailed explanations of each dish. The relaxed ambiance set the perfect tone for a pleasant dining experience.

Starters: • The artichoke was tasty with a heavenly finish, although it took a bit of time to eat. I would have loved to see a bit more vinaigrette and sauce to complement it. • The Hokkaido tartare was delectable and left me wanting more, though the bread served was a bit on the hard side.

Main Course: • I ordered the raviolo. While it had its moments, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The mushrooms carried a wine-like taste and there was a strong flavor note that was a little overpowering.

Dessert: • The Miel-Fiuelle was good but not particularly outstanding.

Wine Pairing: • The wine pairing was exceptional—it was recommended by our waiter and truly elevated the meal.

Overall, Richard Bistro offers charming service and a relaxed atmosphere, with standout wine pairings that make the experience memorable. I look forward to seeing how they refine some of the dishes...

It was a huge disappointment! First the service was a bit weird, the waiter was pushy so that we order more! The Wine Menu is very expensive… About the food: We had the Artischocke, the Sardines and the Octopus they were simple and tasty! As main course we had the Ravioli which to my opinion was very strong, u can almost taste only the meat The Fish was fried and also very greasy, would not recommend A Tartare was so bad that we couldn’t eat, i think it was grounded beef period And the Desert a 10€ scoop of ice which was melting very quickly and had not the creamy texture Ps we didn’t pay the Tartare cause we share our opinion, and we appreciate the effort The only good thing was the place on itself, its very beautiful and has a lat of taste In all unfortunately not recommended at all
