L'Osteria Berlin Savignyplatz — Restaurant in Berlin

I rarely write reviews, reserving them for experiences that are either outstanding or deeply disappointing. Regrettably, my recent visit to this restaurant falls into the latter category. The establishment was overcrowded and incredibly noisy, and despite arriving at around 6:30 PM, our pizza wasn't served until 8:15 PM that was including waiting to do order and another 50 minutes for food to arrive The staff continously ignored our complaints and failed to apologize, with one waitress being particularly rude. I had to shout to make her hear through the noise and explain situation and she took it wrong and refused to serve, completely unprofessional and first time ever happened. there were also 3 young children

I normally don’t write reviews; been in Berlin last 15 days and had the most amazing food and service so far until today. We went around 830pm today on Saturday without a reservation; waited 15 min to be seated, which wasn’t bad at all..first we were moved to another table after getting seated as there was some misunderstanding between the waitress, that itself was a first for us in Berlin..got our appetizer and drinks in 10 minutes which was great and then we got our food a good hour later… Which was not just annoying but also very irritating as everyone around us who came much later than us was being served while we watched. I would have understood if it was anything different ; we just ordered a pizza and pasta. We were told we got served late since we ordered appetizers… so another advice if you are hungry don’t order appetizers.. that too a caprice salad burrata ; if you want to build up an appetite and have a couple of hours then go for the the appetizers; Advice to mgmt don’t seat people you don’t like to serve… felt we were unwanted which I said so as well. At the end the food was decent specially the pizza ; Regardless how good the food is this type of service should raise red flags.. be decent turn down people if you can’t serve them properly. And also hire people who are more welcoming rather than sick of their jobs.. everyone can show them an attitude…...

Hard to rate the food as after waiting for over 2.5 hours never actually received food and when asked there was no estimate when it would arrive. Was there for a group lunch and the whole order had been sent in as required multiple days in advance. When it came time for the main courses nearly everyone was served and that was when they decided to tell about 4 people that what they had ordered was not available any more. Realize that we had sent it in days earlier and been there over an hour and a half. Well, pick something else and you would think they would rush to get it made and correct their mistake. After another Hour wait (nearly everyone had left by then for other plans, including some who never got their food) the waiter was asked and he said it wasn’t started and that they had put it at the end of the line. So everyone left, some including myself having had no lunch the day before the marathon. I would strongly advise anyone against going to this place. Supposedly others said their food was fine. I wouldn’t know as I never got any. There are a ton better options in Berlin who might at least care if...
