Ludwig — Restaurant in Berlin

The chef at Cafe Ludwig is amazing! The menu appears to be one of typical German food but it is anything but! I had the salmon on a bed of perfectly sautéed spinach with some wonderful white sauce. (The portion was big enough for 2 people!!!). My husband had the oxtail dish, slow cooked to perfection, with potatoes and vegetables. We started with a tasty salad with mixed greens, feta cheese and avocado. The chef sent a potato salad to our table, on the house, and that was so delicious! Sonia, the owner, served us well. I highly recommend cafe Ludwig!!! Very charming, warm, cozy atmosphere. The location is right on Ludwig Square near the KuDamm, far superior to Weyers, located right around the corner. A little gem in Wilmersdorf. They've nailed that homemade vibe, with both, the food and the ambience. We had the risotto with steinpilz for mains and the vitello tonnato as a starter.
