The place itself has a great vibe and lots of potential — beautiful setup, good music, and a nice atmosphere. However, the management is a complete letdown and really ruins the overall experience. FYI - I had called before going but no one picked up.. From the start, things felt off. At the entrance, we were told there’s a special event, so we paid a 15€ entry fee, which was fine. But once inside, we were told that if we wanted to sit on the chairs or cabanas around the pool, we’d need to pay an extra 200€ — yes, 200€, just to sit. That’s just absurd. Honestly, for that price, I’d rather book a flight to Budapest and relax at Széchenyi Baths instead. The worst part is how disorganized and unclear the staff were. They couldn’t explain the pricing properly, and their attitude felt judgmental and unwelcoming. If there’s a private event, either close the venue to the public or clearly separate spaces for event guests and regular visitors. Don’t charge people 15€ to enter and then treat them like second-class guests. Maaya could be an amazing place, but the current management and bouncers seriously need a rethink. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend going unless you’re ready for confusion, overpricing, and questionable treatment.

This is my favorite pool place in Berlin! There’s usually a DJ and the music is great. The bar never gets too full. Or at least on my visits. So getting drinks is quick. Since they changed to Maaya, the food is now better. The only thing is it gets really crowded than it used too. There were way too many people at some points. To a point others couldn’t even find space to sit on their towels because there were no more free chairs or sunbirds. My advise is go there early. Be there before they even open the gates. Even weekdays are busy. Otherwise this place is really fun to visit! I hope they will work on making it better. 🎉

Super friendly staff and nice place but: - music is stressful. You hear different musics all the time which is so stressful instead of relaxing ( i love the concept of African beats, but not all mixed) - I don’t understand why kids are allowed while there are so many pools for kids in Berlin. This is a pool party club, kids running around, playing and throwing you balls is not the most chilling atmosphere. I also find dangerous that they climb on the pool border and can easy fall down. - pool gets too crowded. - pool temperature was freezing.

Racist!!!

Today I arrived at Haubentaucher with plans to go swimming with my girlfriend. 5/6 white people got in before I arrived at the front of the queue. When me (Black British) and my girlfriend (White) got to the bouncer (White, brown hair, beard and big smile when he spoke to my girlfriend) he asked her while ignoring me "Who are you with" She pointed at me. He then said "There is no room to sit down" which if you saw this place is impossible. She then said "No problem we just want to swim" he kept saying "no". We then mentioned how everyone else got in with no issue until me and he said "they had reservations" which never came up in conversations so I surprised he knew this by just looking at them. He then got very hostile that we told him about the people before us. Maybe because he felt embarrassed and had no reply that made sense but we remained calm. We watched the queue a few feet away for a bit and saw he then refused the people directly behind us. We then moved from his sight, and then surprise surprise. Everyone else got in. It is scary that this seems like it is normal for black/turkish and anyone who's not white to not get in. I heard about Haubentaucher being racist just could not believe that this would happen to me. Being calm and respectful got me no where so unlucky I understand why people lose their patience.

Happy to play black music but not happy to let...
