AMAZING PLACE!! A must try in Berlin with excellent food. Love the ambience. Love the food. Love the service. Food - 5/5. Apparently they serve different mains on different days, so always a reason to go back!! Starters: Kibbeh - 4/5. Amazing taste but a bit dry. Chicken breast stuffed with corn and cheese - 6/5. This was an impulse buy but soo soo good. Mains: Oriental Chicken with rice - flavourful without being spicy. 5/5 Spiced rice with lamb - 6/5. Loved this dish. Will go back just for this!! Drinks: NO ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AVAILABLE. Syrian Coffee - Black coffee spiced with fragrant cardamom with no sugar or milk. Perfect ending to a meal. But maybe not for you if you don't like black coffe Ambience - 5/5. Authentic Middle Eastern vibes. Service - 5/5. Friendly service. They were quite busy ( busiest place on the street) and I thought they were late in getting the menu. But they provide you with a tablet that shows the days specific meals and we can order from the table. They let us know that coffee would be delayed which I appreciated. Overall, I'll be sure to go again!

We had no prior knowledge of the restaurant and went to the area specifically for Malakeh based on a quick online search. We were not disappointed at all with the quality of the food and the hospitality of the restaurant’s staff. The food is authentic in flavor and is cooked to perfection. We loved that it was served fresh and warm with very nice presentation. The quantity of the food we ordered was perfect for two very hungry people, it was very satisfying. We also loved the decor of the restaurant, it's a very nice, clean and spacious place with symbols of Syrian culture which took me back to many childhood memories. In all, we were very happy with our experience and will definitely be recommending the restaurant to friends and family. Best of luck Malakeh!

Syrian Coffee was really good and strong (didn't have such a coffee for a while). Harra' Be Isba'o was tasty, but bread on the top was a little bit hard. Food prices are expensive and dishes are small, so I don't consider coming back except for just having a coffee. There was an event with a singer there, but they didn't put any paper or advertisment on the outside door so man can consider paying extra 5 euro per person before he enters. But they told us after we sit and ordered. Anyway the event was nice. There was no bills and they wanted us to pay for a tee which we didn't order. But I expect these issues to be temporarily because the restaurant is still new. Interior and atmosphere look nice and family friendly. Staff were friendly too. My 3-stars-only rating is mainly because of the prices.

Delicious and authentic Syrian food. Extremely friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. I liked the decorations and the little details. The feminine touch is obvious in everything💕 If only the prices were a bit less or the quantities of the appetizers especially were larger, it would definitely catch more customers. It felt a little overpriced to us. Anyway, i would definitely come back and would recommend other people to try this experience. Update: I tried it again and the food was good. A bit sour and my friend’s meal was salty. It happens no problem. The cheese burkes were really delicious 😋 Why they don’t give customers the bill! Cash only and no cards. We paid around 140 for four people. We had three appetizers and two drinks each.

Another great addition to the restaurant development of the potsdamer street/pallas street area. Malakeh is the restaurant of former Syrian TV-Cook Malakeh Jazmati and author of a Syrian cookbook in Germany. Its a completely different take on what you normally get in Syrian places in Berlin. Gone are the Falafel and Shawarma. Here, they serve different Syrian specialties daily and have a great starter menu (for two, a mixed starter platter and one main menu is quite sufficient). The interior is nicely designed, the service is friendly and it has an overall positive vibe. The food is great! Very original to what I have eaten on Syrian food. And if you want to have a try on the food yourself, you can buy the cookbook

I made a reservation via phone it was uncomplicated and friendly communication. The starters were phenomenal very tasty. The food was tatsy some more some less. After the documentation i had seen about the owner i had hopes of a more personal experience when it comes to the service. We ordered with tablets which were easy to use but somehow missing out on personal interaction with customers. The fact that alcohol is being served in a restaurant owned by Muslims was dissapointing to me. Like many other restaurants you couldve also avoided that, aspecially in Berlin. Maybe this can be changed for the future. The prices were extremly high, food costed around 17-22 Euros. Veggy and vegan dishes were also available. 🌱
