AMAZING PLACE!! A must try in Berlin with excellent food. Love the ambience. Love the food. Love the service. Food - 5/5. Apparently they serve different mains on different days, so always a reason to go back!! Starters: Kibbeh - 4/5. Amazing taste but a bit dry. Chicken breast stuffed with corn and cheese - 6/5. This was an impulse buy but soo soo good. Mains: Oriental Chicken with rice - flavourful without being spicy. 5/5 Spiced rice with lamb - 6/5. Loved this dish. Will go back just for this!! Drinks: NO ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AVAILABLE. Syrian Coffee - Black coffee spiced with fragrant cardamom with no sugar or milk. Perfect ending to a meal. But maybe not for you if you don't like black coffe Ambience - 5/5. Authentic Middle Eastern vibes. Service - 5/5. Friendly service. They were quite busy ( busiest place on the street) and I thought they were late in getting the menu. But they provide you with a tablet that shows the days specific meals and we can order from the table. They let us know that coffee would be delayed which I appreciated. Overall, I'll be sure to go again!

Syrian Coffee was really good and strong (didn't have such a coffee for a while). Harra' Be Isba'o was tasty, but bread on the top was a little bit hard. Food prices are expensive and dishes are small, so I don't consider coming back except for just having a coffee. There was an event with a singer there, but they didn't put any paper or advertisment on the outside door so man can consider paying extra 5 euro per person before he enters. But they told us after we sit and ordered. Anyway the event was nice. There was no bills and they wanted us to pay for a tee which we didn't order. But I expect these issues to be temporarily because the restaurant is still new. Interior and atmosphere look nice and family friendly. Staff were friendly too. My 3-stars-only rating is mainly because of the prices.

We had no prior knowledge of the restaurant and went to the area specifically for Malakeh based on a quick online search. We were not disappointed at all with the quality of the food and the hospitality of the restaurant’s staff. The food is authentic in flavor and is cooked to perfection. We loved that it was served fresh and warm with very nice presentation. The quantity of the food we ordered was perfect for two very hungry people, it was very satisfying. We also loved the decor of the restaurant, it's a very nice, clean and spacious place with symbols of Syrian culture which took me back to many childhood memories. In all, we were very happy with our experience and will definitely be recommending the restaurant to friends and family. Best of luck Malakeh!

The menu on Malakeh's website looked promising. We were looking forward to dinner in the restaurant. What a disappointment! The high prices of the food and drinks are not in proportion to the quality. The decor is cold and uncomfortable. Upon arrival you will receive one tablet on which you must make your choice with the entire group. That takes a very long time. As a result, there is hardly any personal contact with the staff. Charging almost 5 euros per person for one jug of tea from which just two cups can be poured is absurd. The Baba Ganoush and Muhammara cost 7 euros and are served as a starter in very small bowls, with a basket of cold, not fresh bread. The main courses were completely disappointing. A vegetarian dish consisted of dry rice with a little sauce and a few pieces of vegetables from the freezer. My partner's meat dish was a small dish of 5 small meatballs and again dry, cold and stale bread. Sixteen euros are charged for this. We had to pay 80 euros for 2 starters, 3 main courses and 3 cups of tea. For that money you can eat the stars from heaven in Berlin. But not in Malakeh. That restaurant is a deception. At the döner shop on the corner of the street you get better food...

Well, the restaurant is decorated to make you feel home (when you are a Syrian)

the staff and even the manager and the chef cook are super nice and friendly, they listen to you, answer your questions, and sometimes have a little chat with you.

The menus are very nice (Tablets) simple and written in many many languages and have pictures..

Now the important part (the food) We’re not talking about something “good” because I’d say it is Perfect, it’s just original just like in Aleppo or Damascus.

it is made with the amount of love every Syrian mother makes food with, and the taste will fly you to Syria if you close your eyes :)

Now about the many bad feedbacks because of the “high prices” I’d say: People, the visit there is about the real experience of Syrian food and atmosphere, is about the foods quality (talking as a certified chef cook) you can’t expect to experience something like what you have in Döner shops, neither the price, nor the quality, because there is a clear difference between original culture/quality and junk food..

Was a wonderful experience, lovely to meet Malakeh and Mohamad, will do it soon again

Bitte was?
