Avoid dining in at this restaurant in cold weather!
Plus points: the Tonkotsu and Tantan ramen were both absolutely delicious, a generous portion, and fairly priced. However, the restaurant experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant is absolute freezing, there’s no heating and the door was held open by a near-constant stream of delivery drivers so all the customers had to wear their winter coats. The delivery drivers took up a lot of room in the restaurant whilst they were waiting for their orders to be handed over. Not great fun. My other complaint is that the restaurant clearly prioritises delivery orders. We (and other patrons) waited for our food for 25-30 minutes at our tables in the cold, whilst the kitchen was constantly sending out food for delivery. They finally realised they had forgotten their actual customers and brought everyone’s ramen out at once. Luckily, it was absolutely delicious, otherwise this review would be lower. Ambience was awful, service was slow, and the temperature in the restaurant was...
Read moreI was excited to try Mori Mori after reading some great reviews, but wasn't super impressed. The place is really small, however has a HUGE plus point - you can reserve a table, which most ramen shops in Berlin don't offer. When we were there in winter we didn't see where we could hang our coats so we had to put them on the floor in a corner... Maybe there was something in the back though, I didn't check so it is possible that there is a way to solve this. Ramen was ok, but I could barely taste the difference between the tonkotsu and miso ones. Broth was delicious but I have had much more flavourful broths. their chashu was super nice, also their menma. Egg was perfectly cook, which is so rare in Berlin, most eggs are so overcooked here! Noodles they do themselves which is a plus, were ok. Overall I would return when I feel like ramen and am somewhere near or don't feel like waiting for 40-50 minutes for a table at the other ramen shops, plus I hope they will improve as the...
Read moreWe drove across town, which took us 30 minutes to arrive. We arrived at 9:40 and the website says they closed at 10… when we walked in the girl said sorry our kitchen is closed. It was a Saturday night… and sun wasn’t even set and every other restaurant on the strip was open.
Two other people came after us and were turned away as well. I can’t imagine the owner appreciated losing customers before they were actually closed…
If you say you’re gonna close at 10 on your website, you should be able to serve people until 10 or say that you close at 9:40.
getting there 20 minutes before closing felt like felt like ample time to be able to catch a quick ramen. It’s very rude and disrespectful. I get that the staff wanted to leave early as maybe they weren’t busy but they should update their hours accordingly. Say kitchen closes aka we close at 940. Not...
