I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papa Pane di Sorrento that transported me straight to my beloved Italy with every bite. The experience began with a plate of incredible bruschetta. The bread was perfectly toasted, with a delightful crunch that complemented the fresh, flavorful tomatoes and fragrant basil. Each bite was a harmony of textures and tastes, reminiscent of the simplicity and elegance of true Italian cuisine. The main course was equally enchanting. I ordered the salami pizza and a classic Margherita, both of which exceeded my expectations. The salami pizza was a masterpiece of rich, savory flavors, with the salami providing just the right amount of spice. The Margherita, however, was the star of the show. Its simple yet profound combination of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil instantly transported me to the sun-drenched beaches of Bari. Every mouthful felt like a gentle breeze on my cheeks, a sensory journey back to Italy. The authenticity and quality of the food at this restaurant are truly remarkable. It’s a place where each dish tells a story, inviting you to savor the essence of Italy with every bite. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an unforgettable Italian dining experience.

Overall a very pleasant experience! We called ahead to make sure they could accommodate a group of five, which on the Sunday of the World Cup finale in itself is an accomplishment. After talking with the head waiter, we had a table in about five min ready for us. The server was a very friendly, young woman and took our order swiftly. About ten min later the creamy truffle pasta came, and I have to say it was pretty darn good. Five min after that we all got our pizzas and man, were they GOOD! I personally had the house pizza (pizza papà pane) and they may have been a few too many cherry tomatoes on it but the chewy crust, fresh tomato sauce and buffalo mozarella created a symphony of tastes in my mouth that I can still remember when I think about it. Our whole group again wants to thank Papà Pane for a very enjoyable Sunday Dinner. If you think this review was helpful a "👍“ would be greatly appreciated.

I was on this restaurant on a Friday evening with friends , it was pretty full on the outside when we arrived so we sat inside . I ordered pizza vongole which unfortunately was too much aldente, especially that it was a thick spaghetti so I couldn’t enjoy it or eat all of it . Otherwise my friends were very satisfied with what they had . Pizza Tonno was the best , awesome olives , good quality of Tuna fish and well spiced . Another friend took pizza scampi with tonno, also good and the other friend took penne arabiata. As a desert , we ordered a mixed desert for 13.5 which had tiramisu , pans cotta and Creme caramel . It was a huge portion and very delicious . Another friend took the Souffle with vanilla Creme and also tiramisù. So I totally recommend the pizza and the deserts ! If my pasta was not that Aldente, I would have have the restaurant a 5 star review .

08.2023 This time I tried the Papa Pane Pizza and can highly recommend it. There was a new team of staff taking and serving orders; v friendly and attentive. ---------------- 09.2022 Definitely make reservations in advance, particularly for dinner, specially for Friday. Also for card payments, the amount should be above a certain threshold (I think €15). Also wanna add that the owner is super friendly, nice and fun 😀 ---------------- Papa Pane do Sorrento is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin. Often crowded and busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance; same day reservations often work. They accept contactless or card payments as well as cash; however if you're dining as a group and wanna pay separately, and the place is crowded, the staff are usually in a rush 😀 which is understandable.

I have ordered pizza from this restaurant for more than 5 years now. They always made great traditional crust pizza. My favourite is the Tonno DOC Pizza, unfortunately the quality of the pizza has dropped in the past year or so. For some reason, the pizza is very heavy and wet. I am not sure what the reason is, maybe they are using a different type of tuna or maybe they didn't drain the tuna and olives properly. Pretty sure it is not condesation because I left the box open in my car immediately after colelcting it. This is already the third tonno pizza I have ordered that turned out to be too wet. Service remains good, but because of the wet pizzas, I cannot recommend this place.

Papa Pane is a culinary gem that transcends the typical dining experience. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavor, embodying the true essence of Italian cuisine. The commitment to quality is evident, with every item on the menu being homemade – from the richly aromatic teas to the exquisitely pure olive oil. What truly sets Papa Pane apart, however, is the warm, refined hospitality. The owner and staff treat each guest with a rare blend of elegance and kindness, making every visit memorable. This establishment is not just a restaurant; it’s a haven for those who appreciate fine food and finer company. Deserving of more than five stars, Papa Pane is an unforgettable experience.
