This is the best pain au chocolat I've ever had in my life. Every single time. In fact, I was so inspired by the fact that this place showed me how delicious pain au chocolat CAN be, that I once posted in a Berlin Facebook group to ask other people where "the best" pain au chocolat is in this city. I received lots of recommendations. I tried them along the years — and I realized every time that this place still wins.

I don't think I've ever bitten into one of these from this bakery without involuntarily moaning, "Oh my God." And all of this as a person who doesn't really crave sweets. It is buttery perfection, and the chocolate is just bitter enough. Supposedly, other items in this bakery are also fantastic (I can believe it), but I just can't move past the pain au chocolat.

Definitely the best croissants I've had in Germany. Light as a feather, flaky, deliciously buttery and beautifully laminated. Actually all vienosseries we tried were excellent but the plain croissant was exceptional! Cakes too were delicious: Chocolate Mousse cake, Fraisier and Montobello were not too sweet, nicely balanced but full of flavor, light and creamy, done just right. They also get a plus for always keeping a jug of water and glasses for costumers to serve themselves, which I find is a very french thing and unfortunately rare in Berlin. Prices are quite decent, specially considering the quality of the products. I would definitely recommend this place to all those who enjoy french vienosseries...

The best lemon tart ever with perfect balance. The big brioche is so delicious and for not eating it all I'll divide it and put it in the freezer it stay fresh for the Sunday breakfast. My lucky day is when I find the St Honoré in display so yummy too. The fruit tartelette can never be wrong. I don't remember the name but there's a chocolate cake with a salted caramel layer just before the bottom and it's a perfect combination. The bread is incredible so crispy outside and tender inside, the next day I also freeze it and every morning I have my perfect toasted tartine.
