from the moment you enter the restaurant it feels special. the decorations are beautiful and everything is done well. the two women were doing everything themselves on a busy night and they kept smiling, so so friendly!<3 (although we didn’t receive a lot of service and had to ask for tea multiple times, but it was understandable when being with just the two) the menu is specially curated, lots of different teas (with info about health benefits) and a couple of good dishes (not too many which is nice, means they put effort into each one:)) the selection of dishes goes from pork to vegetarian to vegan! I had the white bibimbap (vegan) which was tasty. I do recommend getting a side or dessert after as it’s not so much food. everything was fresh and prepared carefully. I would definitely come here again as the atmosphere was good too, beautiful zen music playing in the back. thanks power women for the kindness <3

i would give this place 4.5 of 5. :) Still need to explore more dishes. !!!Matcha mochi won my heart!!! i could eat it 24/7. Super soft and delicious! Some drinks can be refilled once again! ⭐ as a main dish i was willing to take Dubu Jorim but they didn't have it that day. So got kimchi as appetizer and after we had "White bibimbap" and something from a special menu like "Tuna kimchi" (which looks like soup on my photos + rice as a side dish to it). My Tuna kimchi was a little straight, i felt just kimchi flavor.. no tuna.. no umami. Very sour :) I love kimchi but I was expecting some balanced bouquet of taste. Talking about tuna, i found only one very little piece(tea spoon size) of that in my bowl . Bibimbap was good. The way they cook rice is just perfect! I'll come again to try something else and update my review ;) Feels like it's very authentic place even though i never been to Korea.

It’s no exaggeration to say having Soopoolim open in Berlin half cured my homesickness. The Korean dishes here are the most authentic in town, and you can really see the attention to detail in every bite and nook and cranny of the charming and calm space that the chef has carefully chosen to reflect the beauty of food traditions in Korea. We took the Galbitang from the special menu (with radishes and carrots! IYKYK) and the Bossam (slow cooked and boiled pork belly) along with the homemade kimchi and Jangajji (pickled vegetables). Every bite was like being back at grandma’s. If you’re craving great Korean that’s not going to leave you feeling greasy but healthy and satisfied — this is the spot. Thank you to the wonderful team!

I feel bad to write this but I didn’t have a good experience.

This was supposed to be my first meal in Berlin. After spending the afternoon walking around Mitte in the cold, I was craving some warm Korean food and saw this 4.9/5 place on google map (later I found that the food they offer wasn’t the usual Korean food I was hoping for anyway). When I arrived, I asked if there was a table for one. They seated me at the little table in the corner and left me there for over 40mins.

The staff were attentive to other tables that were already eating, but never looked at my direction. People who came in 20mins after me had already ordered and were eating while I was still waiting. Even when the staff came to serve the table right next to mine multiple times, they turned their back towards me. I tried to get their attention when it seemed like they were done with other customers, but they went behind the till. I had to go to the counter myself to ask what was going on. The waitress told me she thought I was waiting for someone and offered to take my order, but by then I had completely lost my appetite and mood.

As I was leaving, the manager stopped me to apologize, which made me feel more awkward since it drew attention. She was kind to offer me a snack on the house, but at that point all I wanted was to leave.

I understand the whole thing was a misunderstanding. I’ve worked in hospitality myself, so I know how stressful and busy things can get. But if I saw someone sitting alone and wasn’t sure if they were waiting for someone or dining solo, I’d at least check in w smth like, ‘Can I get you some water’ or ‘Lmk if you need anything’ rather than leaving them alone for almost 1h.

The manager made efforts to make up for the experience, which I appreciated, but I just couldn’t accept it. I’d been up since 5am that day for my flight to Berlin and ended up not eating anything until the...
