Restaurant R 23 — Restaurant in Berlin

I am a high school student in Denmark and about a week ago I was in Berlin with my high school for a little trip. We were about 87 students and 5 teachers. The teachers were planning a dinner for us to enjoy our time together as one big family. The teachers found this restaurant and emailed them asking if their food was halal, because a fair amount of us are muslims The owners of this restaurant had the audacity to lie to the teachers and claimed that they were pakistanis and that the food is halal. (Because a lot of pakistanis are muslims) When we then show up to the restaurant, one of our teachers, who is muslim, had a bad gut feeling, so he asked a waiter if the food is halal and he straight up said no it is not. Turns out that they are Indians and have nothing to do with halal food at all. Our teacher and all the other muslim students were annoyed and fustrated. We just wanted to enjoy a nice dinner. So we left the restaurant after half an hour and spend close to half an hour finding somthing to eat at 22 o'clock... If you know what's best for you don't visit this restaurant, because it turns out that their food in general does not taste...

So I ordered a beef steak, and I asked for it be raw/medium. I got a very dried up steak which wasn't red at all. The lettuce had many brown spots, which looked so gross, and underneath it there was a little, moist, cold frie. (I didnt have fries just one big potato with sauce inside)

Beside that, the waiter was rude, "coldish". He didn't have any emotion on his face or laughed. He didn't asked us "how was your food" or anything. I told him I didn't like the food, and its too well done, so he goes off to the kitchen, comes back and tells me "the cook said its a medium". I say no and he says yes and starts arguing with me. Thats the dumbest and rudest thing you can do with a customer. Just say "yes you're right" because I had to eat the damn steak and saw it with my own eye it wasnt red at all.

Thats it. Bad food, bad waiter. Its kinda cheap but...

The beautiful indoor seating, many photos on the wall that create some fun entertainment to look at. Quick service but great food! Beautiful outdoor seating with lots of bit tables for big families to sit at! Dog friendly outdoors. Indoor bathroom available. I got the hot chocolate with whipped cream. And the Gourmet Salad, the Turkey Dish, the people were so nice here and...
