Nice ambiance. Place felt like a fancy restaurant but as you look at food prices, they were still reasonable. Food was delicious and plating was really nice. I would have given this restaurant a 5 based on those factors alone. However, as I talked it over with my husband, we both would give the place a rating of 2 because of service alone.

The service at this restaurant was extremely terrible! It was the worst we've ever experienced.

There weren't much people in the restaurant but when we entered, we had the feeling that we must have developed invisibility powers. It took long for us to be seated and when we finally were, we were given the menu. We already took time deciding what to order and despite that, we also had to wait long for someone to take our order. No one was coming. A restaurant staff was seated two tables next to us, just sitting there on a break probably. Staff came over to her and they would chat, but no one came over to us to ask our orders. We had to call someone and to which they said they'll call someone else.

When our orders were finally to be taken, the staff kept interrupting us. We were trying to order drinks but the staff kept talking, asking if we wanted Japanese, or Vietnamese cuisine. We asked if we could order drinks first and we got the response "no, later. Japanese or Vietnamese?" so we replied Vietnamese as we had already chosen our dishes. My husband was giving his order when the staff continued "Would you like Rice, or Noodles?". My husband said "I will have noodles, my wife will have the rice. For me, I'll have the...". My husband was interrupted again as he was giving his specific order. Why? Cos the staff enumerated all the noodle dishes they had. It kept going this way til the end and it was annoying and rude.

Our orders came, we ate and enjoyed the food. Time had come to pay. We went to the register and no one was there. The guy at the bar told us to wait for his colleague. Later, a lady waitress passed by us and asked if she could help us.. We said we wanted to pay. She told us to wait. About 15-20mins in, no one still comes. The same lady waitress checks the register, asks our order, then takes our payment. If she can apparently do it as well, why didn't she do so in the...

Came here today for lunch as I was passing by the area. I was excited to give this place a try, but was highly disappointed and turned off once I got my drink. I got a Leche drink because it sounded good. Had cucumbers,, and pomegranate inside. I get my drink and I always inspect and look at my drink before drinking it. I do that anywhere I go. I look inside of my drink, and as I’m about to take a sip, I see something moving. Looking closely, I see a bug in my drink. I’m not sure what kind of bug it is, but I’ve included pictures. I stared at my drink, looking closely to make sure I was saying what I was really seeing. It was indeed a bug. I got someone’s attention to let them know. The first guy that I spoke to about it, I don’t think he understood English, so my waiter came by, and I explained to him what I was looking at. He tried to gaslight me into thinking that it wasn’t an insect that was in my drink. He told me because the drink is fresh. That’s all that it is. I purposely took a photo in case they tried to deny that it was an insect. I wasn’t rude about it, I was actually more polite than I should have been. I tried to explain that I didn’t want to drink anymore, but they made me a new one. At least they claimed it was a new drink. Even after finding an insect in my drink, I was still charged for the drink. Anywhere else, they would’ve removed the cost of the drink from the tab. This is also the first place I’ve been to where I was charged for tapwater….TAP water. I did still end up eating here and of all the places in Berlin that I’ve had sushi, this was my least favorite and the most expensive. I would not eat here again whenever...

We terribly regret our dining experience at Five Rivers. The allergen information on the menu is not accurate and neither the incompetent waiters know about the allergens, so I can only recommend great discretion to people with allergies who want to have a meal here. My partner has gluten intolerance, so we had to pick something from the menu that does not contain gluten. We decided on rice noodle with duck and confirmed with the waiter that it does not contain gluten. We even asked for the recommendation of the waiter considering her allergy. According to the menu, this dish does not contain gluten, otherwise it would have been marked with allergen "a'". When the meal was served, my partner took a bite but then we got suspicious about the coating of the duck and the soy sauce in the rice noodle. When we wanted to confirm this with another waiter, they did not give a confident response and called another waiter. Ultimately they told that both the duck and the soy sauce contains gluten. We kindly asked them to replace the duck with vegetables and re-prepare the rice noodle without soy sauce. 5 minutes later, the new dish arrived but dipped inside soy sauce again... After such a disappointment, we gave up and left the restaurant. Now my partner has still been suffering from allergic reactions which usually continues for 2 weeks. Attached is the receipt from my meal as a proof for...
