This is one of the best ice cream places in Berlin in my opinion. Price is super reasonable for the size of the "scoop" you get (I took a photo, this is the smallest size cup, equivalent to a small scoop-l and it's 2,5 euros) and the quality is definitely there too! Options are limited to standard flavors, several fruit ones (they keep it simple), plus some interesting varieties with pistachios and other nuts. But all the flavors we tried were excellent, flavorful and not too sweet. Service is also excellent. P.S. If you come weekend afternoon, you might not be able to try many of the flavor, they tend to sell out quickly. Old review from 2022: We went there yesterday (around 5 PM) especially to try their praised ice creams, and found the shop closed (eventhou online it said it's open) without any paper or information at the door to why it's closed or when will it open... we even tried reaching them on the phone number we found on their website, without any success. This review is obviously for the service, not for ice creams themselves...

The mango was so delicious. Seriously, the mango was so good that I was able to overlook the extremely Berlin attitude of the person who took my order. When I asked if they accepted credit cards, I was told condescendingly that they only accepted credit cards. This lady also threw the cover of the tub of ice cream quite loudly when she went to make my scoop. I was quite shocked. After all, an ice cream shop is quite the happy place, and ice cream is such a happy food. I suppose this lady thought she might be working at Berghain? The other lady working at the counter, of East Asian heritage, seemed to be smiling and happy to work there. In this instant I am reminded of the politics of immigration. Any such unpleasantness disappeared when sank my teeth into the mango ice cream. It tasted so richly of mango and of summer. After all, ice cream, especially good ice cream, is such a happy food.

Duo has been on my wishlist for a year and what better way of eating ice cream than on the longest day of the year? As a pistachio-lover I was very excited to try their pistachio flavors, and of course, the glaze! Some italian acquaintances said it was good, so I had high expectations. Although there was a small line, we didn’t stay longer than 15 minutes (on a Saturday), but the line did get kinda long after we got there (no worries, they work super fast). The taste of the ice cream was good, a bit too sweet for my taste. I must warn you: I regret getting size medium (super big, kinda American standard medium; deff not like the ones I’ve tried around Berlin). It was SUPER messy to eat it, and chaotic/sticky so I recommend getting the small one. I will definitely return, but to their Kudamm one whenever I have a chance and perhaps getting other less sweet flavors if I get the glaze again.

I have known this ice cream place since they started, and always visit anytime I have got a chance. Today was one more time that I decided to enjoy Duo‘s ice cream. The ice cream was today as delicious as always. The service however has been not only disappointing, but unfortunate for such a known business. I bought two ice creams and a granita, and paid 13€, what the employee charged me. While eating our ice cream my friend asks me how much I paid, and We realise that I have been overcharged. I should have paid 10€, not 13. I go back inside and talk to one of the busy employees at the counter. They tell me they cannot give me the money back, not on the card I used to pay, with the explanation that „they need a special pin code that none of them knows“ and also not in cash, with the explanation that “they put the cash immediately in the safe and cannot open it, and also don‘t have 3€ in their tips jar“. They offer me a tiramisĂč or a couple of small cannoli instead, but I cannot take them with me as I am not going home and they need to keep refrigerated. Both me and my friends try to talk them into getting the moneyback as this was entirely their mistake but there is no way. I leave the place with three rather sad brioche (the ones they use to stuff ice creams with) and a feeling of disappointment for such terribly poor customer service. This is an absolutely shameful behaviour, but this business is not lacking customers and can easily afford to loose a couple in case we decided to never visit it again. I probably will again anyways as the ice cream is just the best out there, but I felt I wanted to share this poor behaviour with the internet crowd. Check what you are paying and ask for a receipt if you visit this place if you want to avoid being overcharged and then forced to take something you did not...

Their ice cream festival was an absolute disaster. MASSIVE queue to get in, had to buy a ticket, then had to buy ANOTHER ticket to actually have any ice cream. The 4 euro ticket was actually 10 euros minimum. No information about this in the event.

If that wasn't misleading enough, every ice cream stand also had a massive queue in the beating sun, so you could get a tiny scoop of ice cream, then stand in another slow-moving, massive queue to try another one.

Of course, the flavor we wanted to try was already gone at 4pm on the first day, and they were also out of cups to serve them in. There were at least half as many stands and workers as there should have been.

After arriving, it took just over one hour for us to try our first ice cream, and we already had tickets!

This was one of the most poorly-organized events I have ever been to. We tried one flavor and gave the rest of our stamps to someone and left.

The one flavor we tried was good though, so one star for that.

EDIT: Removing the one star I did leave because I'm reading now that some people did not have to pay extra to try the ice cream; it seems they saw their chance to make more money and made people buy those cards before even getting in, and nowhere did it say this when buying the tickets....
