Sabor a mí is Back!!

The delicious tacos that we knew first in Friedrichshain and afterwards in invalidenstr are back in the hood now in a very nice place in Boxagehner Platz. The tacos are very good, especially the cochinita which we love and of course the hibiscus flower (Jamaica), which makes the difference with the other taco places. We loved the sopes, in this case we ordered pork, the Guacamole with tostadas was delicious and we even tried the house mezcal on a recommendation and we liked it very much because it had a very original spicy touch. We leave as always with "a full belly and a happy heart".

The service was excellent, all the staff very friendly and willing.

For now you can only pay with cash, in front of the restaurant there is an atm in case they don't have it at the moment.

Price and...

Food Quality: quesadilla is quite the disappointment. Guacamole was nice but just a spoonful of it. Tacos were nice.

Portions: very irregular. Some things were ok, guacamole was a joke of a portion.

Drinks: Drinks were definitely not something to visit here. Frozen margaritas are from a slurpee machine but charged like freshly made. No softdrinks available, only house lemonades or beers.

Price: $-$$ not expensive, but some items are over prices for what you are getting.

Service: mostly counter order, and then food brought to you.

Atmosphere: cozy nice place, colourful, and a bit of mexican feeling.

Things to improve: the items mentioned above could use some serious attention.

I can only speak for the vegetarian options – and unfortunately, they were quite disappointing.

We tried both veggie tacos and one vegetarian quesadilla. All three dishes lacked flavor and felt like an afterthought rather than something crafted with care. It seemed more like they wanted to tick the “vegetarian option” box than actually offer a tasty meat-free meal.

Service was clearly overwhelmed, which we understand. The table still had dishes from the previous guests and was only cleared and wiped after I pointed it out after 15mins. That said, the staff was friendly and warm throughout.
