The food was quite good, but the hospitality lacks a lot. The four stars are only for the food, I wouldn't give one star for the service. I booked a table for my sister and myself for Saturday the 25th of February at 6 pm. We both don’t live in Berlin so we were unfamiliar with the time we need to get from the Hotel at Hauptbahnhof to the Restaurant at Kottbusser Tor in Kreuzberg, and us not wanting to be late and taking the risk of losing our reservation, we arrived quite early. We arrived at the Restaurant about 20 Minutes early. We felt quite uncomfortable because it was dark, snowing and quite cold. All of the staff (waiter, waitress, and chef) saw us standing in front of the door, but wouldn’t let us in. I knocked at the door, but they glanced at us and then ignored us. At 5:59 pm they opened the door with the sentence that “Come in because we don’t want to leave you out in the rain”. I just answered: “Really? But you didn’t have a problem with letting us stand for 20 Minutes in the snow.” Don’t get me wrong, we didn’t expect them to take an order or serve anything before 6 pm, but we really thought that they would at least allow us to come inside and wait at the table where it was...

it was one of the worst experience ever! we reserved my friends and i a table online and when we arrived there we were surprised as the waitress told us that hey/the system did a mistake in setting of the table so we asked her to try to find an alternative solution for us and she started yelling she was very rude, disrespectful and aggressive and she said "what should i do? put you on someone s lap? then she added "u know what sit in any table and i will kick out the next person coming in " we asked her to decrease her tone but she replied "Know what i have work to do " she ignored us and continued working. It s really unacceptable to be humiliated and disrespected that way ! we were literally kicked out although we made a reservation and showed up on time. Such a behavior is unbelievable and such bad tempered people shouldn't be working as waitresses or dealing with...

Dinner at Schwarze Heidi on Sunday evening was fantastic. I received a warm welcome and the service was friendly and attentive all the evening. The menu looked terrific and I wasn't disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed a Carpaccio of Bündnerfleisch for my starter, topped with shavings of Tete de Moine cheese. Then for my main course I had the Zurich Gschnätzlets, a very tasty plate of sliced veal with mushrooms and onion in a creamy white wine sauce. This was served with some amazing egg spätzli, Austrian pasta-like noodles that are a little bit addictive! Then finally for dessert, I couldn't resist the delicious Toblerone mousse, which was very indulgent, and paired nicely with some cherry schnapps! Overall, I had a wonderful dinner at Schwarze Heidi, highly recommended, and I hope to visit again on my next...

Food Quality: Amazing cheese fondue. Great taste and texture. Portions: I would have had a bit more, but would have been a mistake. Portions are very well met, and leave a little space for dessert. Drinks: great selections of wines that were selected to be paired with the cheese perfectly. Price: $$$ price of fondue is per person and is quite decent for the quality. Service: very friendly and helpful. At some times a bit difficult to get their attention when the restaurant is full, but nothing too serious to affect the mood. Atmosphere: restaurant decoration looks very Swiss, nice relaxing place. Not too much noise and easy to have a conversation with your guests. Highlights: definitely the cheese fondue
