Vinothek Berlin — Restaurant in Berlin

Nice shop, but not the place to get a glass of wine. The waiter made you feel like you were bothering him and we felt really unwelcome. They don't have a menu so we couldn't really see what was there and how much it costed. The waiter told us there was only three types of wine (red, rose and white), which is weird for a Vinoteca, but fair enough and we were happy to try what they had. When we asked for food they only had a couple of snacks, while the rest of the tables were eating other things. At the end we were not given a check, so could not know how much we paid for each thing. But 30 euros for 3 glasses of wine and some sad bread sticks seems too much. Where we ripped off? Maybe or maybe it's just overpriced, but definitely the staff were...

Leider habe ich mit der Bauer Vinothek zweimal sehr durchwachsene Erfahrungen machen dürfen.

Bereits vor einiger Zeit wurden nach dem Kauf von drei Flaschen eines Weins zum nächsten Tag kurzerhand die Preise verdoppelt. Es handelte sich um den Rothenberg Riesling von Weingut Kühling Gillot.

Bei der Bestellung von zwei Kisten Sekt wurde es mir jetzt aber zu bunt. Es wurde der Eindruck erweckt, dass eine größere Menge pro Person bestellbar ist, woraufhin ich zweimal sechs Flaschen bestellt habe. Dann habe ich zwei Monate später eine Email bekommen, die erste Sekt sei quasi gar nicht lieferbar. Nur eine Flasche können mir geschickt werden mit 12 Euro (!) Lieferkosten. Vom zweiten Sekt könne mir voraussichtlich gar nichts geschickt werden.

Das ist wirklich schlechter Service!

PS: Nach dem Verfassen dieser Rezession kam direkt ein Anruf des Inhabers. Leider nicht mit einem freundlichen Interesse, das Geschehene irgendwie wieder gut zu machen, sondern mit Vorwürfen - unter anderem des "Rufmords". Kundenservice...

Great selection of wines from Germany and abroad. You can take food from the restaurant next to vinothek. We have drunk 2 red wine cups each with a ceasar salad and a selection of cheese & salami for 50eur. Not cheap but the staff was nice...
