This restaurant was a big disappointment. It looked so attractive and compelling (and the view is great), but the food was AWFUL. We ordered bruschetta, and it was actually laughable. The bread was thick, untoasted, no olive oil, and on top of it someone threw a big slice of tomato and a huge unappetizing blob of guacamole. Same for the salad I ordered - it was like one of those nasty pre-packaged salads at the airport. And I am not picky. Really, it was funny it was so bad. Also, when you order a beer, they make you pay immediately and charge you a deposit for the glasses (I guess they are afraid you'll walk off with them?).
If you want a nice beer on the river, just cross the bridge and go to Beuel. There are two lovely biergartens right...

Directly besides the Rhein, a huge tree covers the seating area (which consists of typical beergarden wooden benches and tables), there are always people playing petonque right next to it and there is always something happening on the meadow. Therefore the waiters are quite overwhelmed with the amount of orders what means they are stressed. But who can blame them? It was also quite loud and you can't sit alone when it is full like this.
