PommFritz — Restaurant in Bonn

As someone who loves and regularly eats fries, I was very excited to see this restaurant open in Bonn. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I have gone more than once to make sure that I didn't just happen in on a bad day, but I was disappointed every time I went. The fries taste entirely of oil and the sauces are all very thick and salty (and sparingly given). The fry assortment was obviously inspired by Frittenwerk, but the style of the fries and the sauces were changed slightly to make it seem original, unfortunately...

Local knockoff of the famous Frittenwerk from Düsseldorf. For a place that specializes in one dish, the fries were a bit disappointing. They were soft and oily and reminded me more of UK chips than of Belgian fries. The garlic sauce was lacking flavor (the Spanish one from the supermarket is way better) and the onions were not properly cut. Salads were ok. Definitely had too much vinegar in it. But the owner was really unfriendly. I asked him politely if we get cash back from the recycling bottles and he got mad at me immediately. Instead of kindly explaining that there is no cashback, he got really snappy at me and even insulted me. You shouldn't treat your costumers like this.
