Walked mostly 6 km to get there and back . The only thing what i can say it was wroth . And I will do it again . Delicious- fantastic sweets and the breads looks also fantastic and tasty . They do only accept cash payment - which is a pity , but also I was lucky or I would have bought much more . So after next 6 km another treat 😉 I am updating the photos only, as I am going twice a week now - to enjoy there sweets.

There was a queue to enter the shop, definitely not a common sight in this part of the world. Had to try! Definitely not disappointed. Some of the bestsellers were already sold out. Bought 5 items based on the recommendations of the staff who was so friendly trying to speak to us in English. Prices were very reasonable. Pastries tasted delicious. The tart with berries were amazing! Definitely will visit again.

A local, traditional and rustic bakery. Everything is fresh, the pastries are delicious and the service is decent. You can tell this place has been around for some time, and that local frequent it every day. There’s a wide selection of bread, too. Over 20 types I would say. If you go in, you’re guaranteed to find something. Enjoy your exploration and whichever delight you may pick at this bakery.

An old school, honest-to-God bakery that still bakes everything in house. Skip the croissants and go for the German classics: get yourself a Nussecke or a Bobbes if you like things sweet or one of the Schwarzbrote if you are after sustenance. Die Bäckerei Balkhausen in Köln ist eine absolute Empfehlung. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Auswahl an Backwaren ist groß und die Qualität ist top. Die fertig belegten Brötchen sind eine tolle Alternative zum selbst Belegen und sind ihren Preis wert.

Ich würde die Bäckerei Balkhausen jedem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach leckeren Backwaren ist. Ob Brot, Kuchen oder Teilchen - hier findet jeder etwas nach seinem Geschmack.

Die Bäckerei Balkhausen erhält von mir 5 von 5 Sternen. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Auswahl an Backwaren ist groß und die Qualität ist top. Die fertig belegten Brötchen sind eine tolle Alternative zum selbst Belegen und sind ihren Preis wert.
