Was leider sehr sehr bedauerlich ist.

The most terrible service I’ve experienced so far!

We arrived at around 19.15 and ordered 3 dishes at around 19.30. The place was somewhat full because of pride day, till around 20.00. After that the place was fairly empty. There were only 5-6 tables remaining. We hadn’t received any order till 20.10 so we asked and reminded them. They started cooking our dishes after that and we got only a plate of momos by 20.30. My husband had ordered chow-mein which didn’t arrive till 21.00. We asked them again at 21.00 and found out they hadn’t even started preparing it! So we cancelled the other two dishes and got out of there all hungry, after wasting 2 hours of our lives.

We understand it was busy till 20.00 but they didn’t start preparing our orders even after reminding them, after the restaurant was almost empty. They didn’t even apologise properly. Gave an excuse about it being a busy day.

The momos were sort of okay. Not the most delicious.

To conclude, worst...

The restaurant has a warm and cosy atmosphere that is really inviting. I adored the decor, as well as the calming music.

My friend and I originally wanted to order individual set menus, and instead, the friendly waitress recommended that we go for the two person Thali…I’m glad we did! We got a lot for the price including poppadoms with 4 dips, a salad, 4 main dishes with rice and a dessert included. We ordered steamed vegan Momos as well to try but the portions are large enough for two!

Everything was so delicious and there is a great variety for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans. They had larger tables and so I’d like to come back with more people.

I can highly recommend Buddha’s Eye and cannot wait...

The whole experience was a very dissapointing. Food was average but when the bill came we were told they only accepted German credit cards, we'd checked ahead to make sure they took credit cards and there was no mention of this. When my partner had to go to the ATM for cash they wanted him to leave some possessions that had value because they thought he might be a thief, I've never experienced anything like this in my life. The food was very average and extremely overpriced. There are so many better places to spend money in Cologne. There's no need to be this horrible to customers.

Lunch time had a small buffet that didn't look super exciting so we stick with the regular menu. They have both veggie and meat versions of momos (dumplings) which are either steamed or fried. The skins were a bit too thick for my taste, though the veggie filling was good. Ordered the paneer masala which was less tomato and creamy than expected and had more vegetables than expected as well. Also ordered the paneer naan which had no paneer but was just plain but naan, which was still good. Would say that the food was not quite as expected but still good, just not great.
