A very hot Saturday (end of summer), we were looking for a table, for 5 persons. Was the first time in this restaurant (and perhaps the last one), and after asking if they can provide us a table outside, the answer was no, due to small tables, but inside would be better (she recommended), because of the high temperature outside.

We entered inside, and shortly gave our order for drinks and food. The “one star” feedback goes only for the bartender, who was very kind and provided us the drinks in a short time.

The restaurant was very Dirty in General, dirty floor, the toilets were as well extremely dirty (we did not used them), and we had to ask to clean the table. After around 15 minutes we thought to leave because of the extremely high temperature inside (she lied, telling us that inside is cooler than outside, there was no AC or Klimaanlage), and asked how long it will take the food to be ready, and the answer was in the next 5 minutes we could eat.

The food arrived after around 50 minutes, from the time we gave our order. Trying to eat, the restaurant inside was full of flies, sharing our food with them as well, but the worst thing, is that the meat of the pork Schnitzel did not tasted at all (zero flavour), despite the fact that the dishes was served in a big portion, the food was not tasty!!!!!!

I am very sorry for leaving this review but unfortunately we had a bad experience, over there.

I hope that the owner / management (if they read the customers satisfaction) will take in consideration these topics, and at least be responsible for improving these kind of situations...

Average food. Terrible service. Bad atmosphere. Staff kept arguing between each other.

They served the wrong dish to my wife and kept pointing to her at a distance as if they were saying it was her fault. Then they came with a dish that we didn't order and they insisted it was ours. Started pointing to us again and screaming with each other so all clients could hear.

They also don't accept card for payments. When I paid, they complained about the tips. And not only to us. I saw them complaining for multiple clients. For one of them I could hear the bill was like 50 and the client paid 60, but they only brought the change when the client asked. Somehow they expected all the 10 euros for tip. And not only that, the waiter was super rude with this other client, throwing the money on the table in sort of a violent way.

Finally, something a bit weird. Somehow the waiter guessed we were Latin American (maybe something in our accent idk). His expression changed when we confirmed. And the staff started approaching us in German. In a table nearby, where they said they were European, the treatment was completely different. They were always talking in English and in a really friendly way with this other table, but not with us. (Ah, except when complaining about the tip. Then they remembered pretty well that we speak in English.)

Completely disappointed. Among the several great experiences I had in Cologne, that was certainly not...

We arived at the bar at 14:30. I tryed to order drink, they dont have botled coke, or any drink in a botle, then I ordered coke and I got gassed out sirup with no taste and no ice inside, when i asked for tap water she refuse to give to me saying that the water in Collogne is not good to drink , even tho i read on the internet that the Collogne tap water is one of the best in Europe…after bad first impression I ordered food around 2:40 and I ordered argentinia rumpsteak to be cooked medium or medium well. After one hour of waiting time (even tho the place was empty i finnaly got my food on the table). I undrestod the waiting time when I saw the food, because the steak was frozen inside, dont get me wrong I dont mind eating rare meat but this was not rare, this was blue rare on the inside and burned on top (because it was frozen days ago). Cutting meat was like cutting brick with a scalpel. I give them 3 out of 5 only because I dont want to ruin their reputation, and I hope they will do...

Lederer in Köln offers a culinary experience that resonates with a touch of home for those acquainted with Filipino flavors. The crispy pork knuckle, a standout on their menu, remarkably mirrors the delightful crispiness reminiscent of a Filipino favorite, crispy pata. The adept preparation of this dish showcases a culinary prowess that transcends cultural boundaries. Moreover, the schnitzel at Lederer holds its own, displaying commendable quality and taste. However, it's worth noting that the overall dining experience comes at a price, as the menu leans towards the higher end in terms of cost. In summary, Lederer provides a gastronomic journey with notable highlights, especially for enthusiasts of crispy pork knuckle reminiscent of crispy pata. While the quality of the offerings justifies the expense, it's important for patrons to be mindful of the higher price point associated with this dining experience.

Wouldn’t suggest it. The table was not even clean and no one came to clean it even so they ask me to sit there, but no one clean after the old customer. I ordered a chicken salad as it was in the menu, the chicken came fried with breadcrumbs which is not expected for salad, on top if that it is fried with many other thing so it got different tests and black left of other frying, also it was too salty, left the plate almost as it is as I couldn’t eat it. At the end they ask me to pay in cash as the boss doesn’t allow to use card for less than 20 Euro bill which make no sense at all and never happened before, but I did not have any cash and they were not happy with that.
