Hachiko Sushi Köln - Sushi & More — Restaurant in Cologne

So I reserved my spot for 2 for 7PM, arrived on time. There were 2 people that were in front of us that did not have a reservation. They had already been waiting for about 10 minutes. A spot gets free, we, the people who made a reservation should get that spot. No questions asked. Instead you gave the spot to the two people without a reservation. We had to wait 5-10 minutes with a cola in our hand at the door for another spot to get free. That's unacceptable and just not done. The whole service was awkward. The chef keeps running in and out of the open kitchen, not knowing what's going on. The 2 people without the reservation were informed that they had to leave after 30 minutes. That's good, but seeing them get thrown out while saying multiple times "sorry" is just an awkward situation for everyone in the restaurant.

If people make reservations, keep those spots open. And if people without reservations come, give them a spot that's not reserved.

The food was meh. Our gyoza was cold in the core and all the rolls were wet. The nigiri and presentation was good, that's why I still decided to give 2 stars for food. Everything else is just unacceptable.

We won't be coming here again, but I hope this restaurant takes the feedback about reservations, cause I've not yet encountered such an awkward atmosphere in...

Had a wonderfull time here! Very sweet and helpfull staff, their english was on point to, really sweet and small lil shop from the front,

but the best has to be the food, price quality wise, cant go wrong, its similar to some more high end sushi places i know for a much lower price! And theyre modernising a lil with the plating wich adds a nice twist!

If i do absolutely HAVE to say something bad then prob that it was right next to a lil bit of a busy road, but once youre inside u dont notice it really,

Def a must try! Was a lil sceptical about the 5 star only reviews, and if u are to, give them a try and u'll see why...

Went with my girlfriend for a relaxed Friday dinner. Place is small, modern & cozy at the same time - but the service, wow. Attentive, ready to serve, 0 waiting time, little gifts from the kitchen & always, always with a smile. Fish is fresh & sushi certainly made with love. Outstanding experience, will come back for sure - deserves...
