The Cologne Marriott’s Plüsch Bar is not just a bar. It is a stage, and at its center stands Toby. He is part host, part curator, part magician. He moves behind the counter with the confidence of a man who knows every bottle has a story and that he is the one meant to tell it. He doesn’t pour drinks. He creates moments.

Ask him for a bourbon and you’ll discover treasures. A Michter’s you thought you’d never see again. A Macallan older than some of the stories being told at the tables. A Hibiki with the kind of age statement that collectors whisper about. He selects each one with the care of a jeweler laying diamonds on velvet.

Every August, the video game industry arrives in Cologne for Gamescom. And every August, we arrive here. We step through the lobby doors and Toby is waiting, greeting us not as customers but as old friends. His hugs, his smile, his memory of who we are and what we love. It is all part of the ritual.

The bar is loud, alive, filled with voices and laughter that echo long into the night. It is the sound of people finding each other, the sound of business turning into friendship. His team mirrors his energy—attentive, flawless, masterful in their craft. They do not simply serve. They anticipate. They elevate.

The doors never seem to close. Last call is only a suggestion, and if the sun rises over Cologne before the night ends, it feels as though that was always the plan.

By far the best bar in Cologne. If you have the pleasure of having Toby and/or Sherwin serve you, rest assured you are in great hands. They have a phenomenal selection of spirits (especially Bourbon!). Toby and Sherwin, if you happen to read this review, thank you all so much for your great hospitality.

A cozy Bar & Lounge at the Marriot Hotel Cologne. Profesional staffs the way 4-5 * Hotels should have. A bit pricey but what can you expect at such venues. We got some Colladas n Smoothies. Look alluring and taste nice! Pls order SEXY ELEVATOR. It doesnt only contain Whipped Cream, Strawberry and Cranberry but also SEXY- yes, Sexy is an ingredient here. Worth a try.
