Lider Kokorec Dortmund — Restaurant in Dortmund

It is not fine dining obviously so atmosphere cannot be expected to be that high at the first place. But it is a nice cozy place. Service actually was not that good but all people including myself were fans coming from Turkey-Georgia Euro2024 match, so considering the crowd, I think it was acceptable. But the kokorec was really very good. Easily comparable to good kokorec places you can find in Turkey. Midye dolma was good too. So, from food quality perspective, considering they serve niche food for Europe and the quality despite of that, i highly recommend...

I really liked the ambience with animations of famous Turkish actors. I tried Istanbul Kokorec for the first time there and it was good. With that I had Ayran, a drink made with curd and some spices which complements the Kokorec really well. The people at the restaurant are friendly and they were very kind. Only thing is that they don't know much English so you should try to specify what you want pretty well or else it is gonna be a bit difficult.

Der einzige Grund für den Stern ist die nette Kellnerin. Das Kokoreç- Fleisch war total verbrannt, somit nicht zu genießen. Trotzdem war ich bereit es zu bezahlen. Als ich bei der Bezahlung gefragt wurde ob alles in Ordnung sei, habe ich mıtgeteilt, dass das Fleisch vom Kokoreç verbrannt und man das extrem rausgeschmeckt hat. Daraufhin hat der Koch dies persönlich genommen und hat mir versucht zu erklären, dass ich falsch bestellt habe und dass man bei der Bestellung angeben soll wie das Fleisch gegrillt werden soll. Ich wurde jedoch bei der Bestellung nur gefragt ob ich Tomaten und grüne Paprika zu dem Fleisch möchte. Der Koch hat sich einfach nur versucht raus zu reden! Im Endeffekt hat es einfach nur verbrannt geschmeckt.

Als Kokoreç Liebhaberin kann ich aus Erfahrung unterscheiden ob es verbrannt ist oder nicht ist. Ebenso wurde ich noch niiiieee (in der Türkei, wie auch in Deutschland) beim Bestellen meines Kokoreçs gefragt ob das Fleisch wenig gegrillt oder mehr gegrillt sein soll.

Hauptsächlich ist der Grund meiner schlechten Bewertung das nicht Einsehen eines Fehlers des Kochs, welches in einer freundlichen Kritik...
