When me and my fiance first got to the restaurant, there was no one to greet us. At first we didn't mind so much as the staff seemed quite busy with most tables on the outside being full. We found a table for two by ourselves and waited a good 5 minutes before a waiter came to us. After finally getting our menu and some bread and butter as we chose our meal, we noticed that the staff appeared to be arguing among themselves, which usually is not a good sign. We waited another 10 minutes or so for the waited to come back and ask our orders, in which we explicitly asked for three dishes: one for each of us and an appetizer for us to share. While they were quick to bring the appetizer, my fiance's dish arrived about 10 minutes later by it self. After waiting for mine for about another 10 minutes or so, time in which my fiance finished eating her meal, the waiter came back and asked if I had ordered a dish for myself, as if he forgot about it. When told that yes, we ordered a total of 3 dishes and only got two, we said that my order would come in about 5 minutes. Fast-forward 20 minutes and lots of arguments between staff, he came back and told us that it would take another 7 minutes for it to be ready and if he should bring another basket of appetizers. At that point we had finished our drinks, my fiance had eaten her meal and I was tired from the rest of my day, so I told them to cancel the order and bring me the check. The waiter made us wait for another 10 minutes only to come back and guilty plea me to take out the meal so he wouldn't look bad for management. At that point we were done with the place and just asked for the check once again, and left after paying what we consumed after some more waiting.
Tldr; the staff is unprofessional, unprepared and are neither helpful or caring for the costumers. No one came to us when we arrived and after getting our orders wrong the waiter attempted to guilty me to not cancel my order and take out the meal. I would not recommend this...
Read moreHorrible service, but decent food. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. without a reservation and they were pretty busy, but still were able to sit us down right away. They had an English menu, which made it very convenient for us. While the staff appeared to be very friendly to German customers, they pretty much left us alone and paid us very little attention. I finally pulled over the waitress that had seated us and she took our order, without offering and description of chef specials or any commentary at all. After a very long wait they brought over the tomato soup I ordered, and it was watery, very bad. When I told the waitress, she snatched it from the table without a word. Again I assumed that she took it away and I would wait for my entree. After about ten minutes she came back with a second soup, and this time it was very tasty. You could tell that it had been made fresh while the first serving had been a left over from the past. It took almost an hour for us to get our main entree, and they brought me the wrong plate. Again I complained and they offered to change it, but since it had taken so long, I chose to keep it. It was actually tasty, but not really what I wanted. When we ordered the bill, they offered no apologies, no complimentary drinks or discounts for all their mistake and poor service. This is not a place I would recommend. The guy on the picture of the add was there the entire time, and never came to...
Read moreWhen my partner and I were cold and exhausted after our touristic winter stroll through Dresden, we ended up at Enotria da Miri. First we thought that this place is a bit too 'fancy' for us, but decided to give it a go. On Wednesday evening, it was rather lively and atmospheric there. I would say that despite our hesitations, we felt welcomed. The lasagna and pizza we ordered was rather decent. We didn't have to wait too long. Probably Enotria da Miri will fit after a theater or a museum, or some friends and family occasion. We didn't order any wine but it looks like there is some, so it's worth checking it out. There is also a grill space outside of the restaurant in winter, so it's worth giving it a try as well. Everyone at the restaurant seems to care about what they are doing, which is why the overall impression you get from the place is nice and authentic, well, to our taste. We are far from being food critiques, and, moreover, we prefer Asian food most of the time, but should we visit Dresden some day again, we definitely will come back and explore some more things...
