It is a nice environment and all, but way too overpriced. German beers are like 6€. A Belgian beer (0,33l) is 8€!!. And if you go to the toilet, there is a woman sitting at the entrance there and you have to pay to get in. As I was searching for a coin in my wallet to pay for it, a guy tried to pass me and go to the toilet without paying. The woman immediately complained and demanded him to pay to use it. Seriously??
It is totally absurd to charge CUSTOMERS in a bar (where people drink) to use the toilet, especially when the prices for drinks are already extremely high. I have been to countless bars/pubs/clubs in many cities and I've never seen them demanding that customers also pay for toilet. So.. there are nicer, cheaper places to go. But if you decide to stay, you better pee on the floor to send them a...
Read moreI've rarely felt this ripped off in any place before. When me and my mate got our beers (draft Guiness and Pils) the waitress wrote '2' and '27' on our coaster and made a mark behind these for every beer we had respectively. In any other pub in Germany the logical consequence would be that the beer we are having costs 2€ / 2,70€. Well, when we got the bill we were told a beer is ~5€ each and that the numbers refer to the beer's number in the menu - which wasn't even lying around. Not that I care about the couple of bucks I spent there, but for me this seems like some tourist-rip-off trap, trying to make people believe beer is cheaper than it is. If you make these references to the menu, at least put it out there on the tables and whatnot, but like this it is...
Read moreThe barman Phillip told me that he only had 1 type of rum available (Captain Morgan rum) but this was not true! there was another type of rum available (Malibu rum). The barman should take some time to actually learn which drinks he has to offer customers!
In response to the owner's reply:
Thanks for your clarification. On the front of the Malibu bottle it was labelled as: "Caribbean Rum with coconut flavour liqueur". Most customers would not know that it is not classed as rum if it is worded in this way. PS: of course Phillip should keep his job, if I was you I would not have even addressed...
