This was, without a doubt, the most horrendous experience of my entire existence. The entire staff exhibited a level of unfriendliness's, and the ambiance of the restaurant was utterly nonexistent. During our lunch with four people, we initially ordered some drinks, only to be shamelessly ridiculed by our waiter Markus for daring to request a cappuccino. Not only did he refuse to communicate in English, but he also callously disregarded our preferences and abruptly walked away. Even when we later requested the remaining two drinks, the staff continued to ignore us while shamelessly gossiping about our party.
As if that weren't enough, we discovered a fly in one of our drinks and brought it to the attention of our waiter Flo, who responded aggressively with the phrase "und jetzt" (meaning "and now") in German. Despite our friend's lack of understanding of the language, Flo callously refused to replace the contaminated drink. When Markus was summoned by Flo, he aimlessly searched for the fly and, in a deceitful move, claimed to his colleague in German that there was no insect present. Not surprised, but ofcourse they added the replaced drink on the bill. And when it came time to settle the bill, Markus had no qualms about dragging out the process.
In summary, this was by far the most horrendous experience of my life, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. Hardly do...
Read moreIt was a nice day, switching between sunny and rain, but still warm. There was no menu visible, but laminated signs stuck to the tables, telling people to look online. I did so, and after standing in the opening for quite awhile without any attention from the tree employees, who were conversing behind the counter, I decided to sit at a table. After awhile, a waiter approached. I ordered, but he said my order was unavailable due to Corona. I accepted this and ordered the next best thing. The meatball, served with mustard and three raw onion rings and a slice of gurkin, was mediocre at best, like it had been frozen and microwaved. But all this was not my deciding factor to write this review. The big issue was the barman, who poured out the house beer for all the customers. He was given all empty glasses by the waiters, and he placed them in a washing up tray, and then went directly on to the new glasses, pouring out more beer. After I saw this a few times, I quickly asked for the bill. I had already had my beer before realizing that all the other guests' empty glasses had been touched by this one man before he touched all the new glasses. This is not an acceptable practice these days, or at any time. I hope for the safety of all the guests, that this...
Read moreI was there on a Sunday afternoon with two other people that are visiting Düsseldorf, and we wanted to show them a bit of the cultural things in the city. Unfortunately, we were looking for a table outside, and when we asked a waiter, the guy didn't even look at our faces and said to ask for another colleague. We have called this other colleague, and he said we can seat anywhere, because 'this is a brewery'. Then, we indeed 'sat anywhere', but after 1 min the same waiter that mentioned to talk to the other colleague, said that the table was reserved - so, we can not seat anywhere??? Extremely rude waiters, it does not even seem like they care at all, and you would pay for that. Seems like we were an enormous inconvenience for them.
After this rudeness show, we were ashamed with my guests and of course immediately left to another place (Heimwerk), which the customer service was really good.
This would not be the first time that I was in this place, and every time I went there, it seems like we are doing a favor being there -and being an extreme inconvenience to all the staff. This was the last time I would (try to) go to...
