熊猫火锅 Panda Hotpot 中餐馆 — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Came in for lunch and ordered the two person hotpot set which came with beef, lamb, noodles, mushrooms, meatballs and some veggies.

The soup broths we received (spicy beef and chicken) were both tasted great and were flavourful. The set for two was actually enough for two and we were both really full without requiring any additional add ons.

There were many items on the menu apart from the hotpot which were actually very reasonably priced (such as rice and noodle dishes).

Thought it was weird that dipping sauce was charged at 2€ per person (in my entire life of frequenting malatang and hotpot restaurants, this is the first time I have ever seen a restaurant charge for this). Quite bizarre considering the customers are already spending a decent amount on the actual hotpot plus sides… so dipping sauce should not be charged. (Something worth reconsidering IMO). Okay-ish hotpot. Panda Hotpot is a relatively new hotpot place in Frankfurt. It is more on the pricey side, roughly 35€/person.

Soup/broth review: Very disappointing. It was lacking flavor. While broth is one of the major aspect in a hotpot, this subpar broth was highly disappointing!

Meat: Meat was good, not extraordinary though.

Vegetable: Okay, a vegetable plate for 12€ was overkill though.

Sauce/dips: 2€ extra were charged for the dips which is highly unusual!

Hygiene: Everything was clean! 5/5.

Service: The place was pretty empty on a Friday evening. We had three people serving us! Service was pretty good - though it was more due to the fact that not a lot of customers were there.

Excited to try hotpot at a restaurant. As I always made hotpot at home but trying different environment is an experienced!

Clean & cozy atmosphere. The do it yourself sauces are full of variations! The owner showed us how to order. The prices are quite expensive so one has to be careful what you order. You can always order more. We ordered just hotpot. 2 flavoured - chicken broth & a mild spicy broth.
