Kamps Backstube — Restaurant in Frankfurt

After a long journey, I found myself at Frankfurt train station, and this spot became my breakfast sanctuary. I went with an egg sandwich and a cup of coffee. The coffee was decent—nothing exceptional—but the egg sandwich? Simply extraordinary. It was a bit on the greasy side, but the freshness and flavor more than made up for it.

I bought the hazelnut roll and cinnamon roll, both of them seems like undercooked, can still taste the texture of flour. The staff was not waking up yet, keeping yawn all the time, made wrong order and forgot what just put in the bag. This staff is not attentive and disgrace, she was not even saying a single word during my order, and sneezing...

Eigentlich kenne ich Kamps als qualitativ hochwertige Backstube, die Filiale am Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof hat damit leider nichts zu tun. Die Schinken-Käse Croissaints (2,60€) gibt es beim Discounter besser und für die Hälfte des Preises. Kaffee ist immer Geschmackssache. Ein großer Latte Macciato für 3,90€ ist ähnlich teuer als bei umliegenden Geschäften, hat uns hier aber leider auch nicht geschmeckt. Die größte Enttäuschung war allerdings die Brezel… 1,50€, winzig und steinhart. Über das sichtlich angespannte Personal kann man hinwegsehen, jeder hat ja schließlich mal einen schlechten Tag.
