“Spend Time in Northern Italy!” This is a perfect place to transport yourself to northern Italy for a couple of very pleasant hours. Unlike many of Frankfurt's more contemporary, trendy restaurants claiming to be Italian but reflecting little of the flavor of Italy, Machiavelli "feels" like Italy! One can sit outside on the terrace in summer for an al fresco lunch or dinner ... or inside when the weather is chilly / cold. Owner Angelo Brizzi hails from Torino in northern Italy and is personally on hand to welcome guests ... describe menu items and the way in which each is prepared ... and make certain that diners are well looked after and enjoying themselves. Took the wife here for her birthday as it was highly recommended.
They only had 3 pasta dishes and 1 prawn dish on the (verbal) menu.
Proprietor's kids were running around the restaurant breaking glass.
Food was average...

It's a good job my wife had some cash, otherwise I would have been short.
PS. I would have been happy to pay more than double that (per person) for my wife's special day.... with credit/debit card...!
All in all,... very...

OK. 15 minutes later, I have delicious pasta with tomato sauce, sea fruit and cannellini beans, and an amazing glass of red wine before me. I was eating slowly so I could enjoy longer! While I was leaving the place two big plates of perfect-looking meat were being served to the table next to me, and I just regretted to have been to this restaurant by myself because I could have tasted more of their delicious food if I had just invited over some friends 😋 I'll be back...
