How I discovered this small restaurant hidden in the city was when I passed by the window one day while walking. I was attracted by the cozy atmosphere inside. However, for several days in a row, I couldn't get a seat because they all full.
When I returned to Frankfurt last month, I immediately made a reservation for dinner for two nights a few days in advance. I wanted to enjoy my beloved food quietly after work. I even thought about how I should describe in words how delicious the food here is, but maybe I shouldn't book dinner for two nights in a row later. On the first day, it was okay, but on the second day , because my friends were temporarily busy, so I ended up showing up alone, and I got a small table by the corner, which I pretty enjoy the corner with a sense of security.
And then, halfway through my meal, the waiter came over and asked me if I could change seats with the three ladies sitting diagonally across from me? Because they think I’m alone, so I can sit anywhere doesn't matter. At this time, they were already halfway through their meal as well. I felt that this was a very offensive behavior to me. And didn’t you arrange this seat for me right? I have never experienced anything like this in any other restaurants.
I made this reservation a week in advance, I just wanted to enjoy my ME time afterwork, and then in the middle of my wonderful dinner, they ask the waiter to ask me that they think it is more suitable for three people to sit in my seat, because I am only one person and can sit doen't matter anywhere"🤭 Only because you think I'm an Asian and you think I can say YES to anything? Sorry I'm not! After I politely refused once, they even stared at me with their eyes, which made me extremely uncomfortable, and the waiter did the same. At this time, I felt that maybe I shouldn't book this restaurant. I set too high expectations to here.
Then I directly told the waiter my dissatisfaction, even though she stated that it was my personal wish and it was OK if I didn't want to change seats. She was just asking for my opinion. However, what I saw was that after I politely refused, they expressed dissatisfaction with my behavior in another way because I did not meet their needs. The fact is that I had no reason to say YES. As a restaurant clerk , first of all you shouldn't make such a request to a customer, and secondly, the overall feeling after dinner, even if the food here is indeed delicious, I will never consider going back again.
To swear that I am not just make fake reviews, I posted some photos to prove that I am indeed a consumer who...
Read moreWe booked a table for 16 people and they said: “ok”
Later we said, we are 20 people and they said: “no problem”
When we arrive with our customers there... they have prepared two tables in “L” shape in a very ugly room... with no space for all of us.
We seat down and we asked for a beer... they replied: “there is no beer because this is an italian restaurant”
Then we asked for the wine list... and they replied: “there is no wine list, I am the wine list”.
So we asked her for the wines... and the cheapest one was PUGLIA PRIMITIVO (small bottle): 48 euros!!!!
They said that this one was the cheapest one!!!
We order another italian wine for 55 euros per bottle!!!
We called to another restaurant and then we left without having dinner... we paid them for 3 bottles of wine and 7 bottles of water: 214 euros. See picture attached.
My opinion: DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE MORE...
Read moreWe went there at 11pm to grab drinks and the waitress said that we could stay only for 40 mins. To which we agreed. Upon leaving, a different waitress came up to us, aggressively said how she was frustrated with people splitting the bill and handed our bill. We payed and took the change left over and on leaving the waitress was mocking at us. Unbelievably rude customer service that ruined what was otherwise a nice night with our friends. I don’t understand what was the point of passive-aggressively telling clients that you don’t like customers splitting the bill. Maybe politely request that they don’t, if you want to have recurring customers/revenues. It’s just easier for customers to go somewhere else and not have to deal with rude waitresses, especially when you charge €8 for a very average...
