This was one of the most disturbing evening I've ever spent at a restaurant with the most absurd behaviour I've ever seen from the staff. We were a large table of 20 people for a birthday celebration and a graduation, everyone was in a great mood. After taking our order a lot of strange things happened: fist the food start to arrive in a weird order...the orders of chicken wings were RAW. DISGUSTING AND DANGEROUS. In the meantime my wife receives her RIB EYE steak but the waitress starts to harrass us because she calls it RUMPSTEAK and as far as I know, those are 2 different things. Unnecessarly rude. Towards the end of the dinner, one of the waitress starts behaving in an unacceptable manner interrupting the speech of my friend and starting the payment process, which we kindly ask to wait for the end of the brithday speech. Afterwards the same waitress come to us asking for a last order and we decide to order a bottle and she answered us rudely saying its not possible (she asked us first). We were already by then extremely upset of this behaviour but the worst has yet to come. Among the gifts for the birthday there was a bottle of liquor which the birthday boy opened to taste...immediately 1 new waiter and the waitress run up to us in the most disrespecting way claiming immediate payment of random amounts of money. Its important to report that the waiter first asked for 400€, then 100€ per glass, then 250€ for the bottle without never giving an explanation of why this amount and never agreeing to show us the policy...and MOST IMPORTANTLY...before anyone took a sip. The waitress also specified that there is an additional FEE for cleaning the glasses. We requested the presence of the police to regulate this coercitive and fraudulent behaviour . Then suddenly it became 50€ (discounted price of a bottle that according to the waitress costs 250€ by menu). We obviously refused to pay unless they could show us the policy, since we did not, at this stage, drink nothing. I believe that if we were simply informed of the policy, and asked gently to put away the gift bottle or choose to pay, we would have not had an issue. The bizzare behaviour of the waitress continues. She first started to offend us saying "why can't you afford 50€", then even more she stood up in a confrontational way in front of us making the silence sound and HUSHING US in the most disrepecful way possible. Its enough to read for 15minutes through the reviews that this things has happened to many people. Also I would like to point out that our table was mainly composed by foreigners, with majority of African people. Funny enough, I was the only person the waiter showed some respect in this confusionary situation, demostrating that most of this interaction was most likely racially motivated. I hope this will take on and won't end here, because such behaviour and restaurant do not belong to...

Starting from the top, we had a reservation and we were 5 minutes late after the 15 time because of parking. So when I walked in I’m assuming this lady was the manager but she was rude as soon as I walked in asking me if I knew what time it was. Yes I do I’m not stupid, yes I know I’m late I just talked to your employee on the phone before I walked in the restaurant and they said it was okay because it wasn’t a busy night. Then this manager told me that they cancel reservations after 15 minutes. I said “okay”. And she then proceeded to hand me the menus. Why say all of that if you are just going to seat me at my table anyways.

We were never told who our waiter was. We had to flag down some guy cleaning off the table 25 minutes after we were seated to get drinks. He told us “be patient someone will come help you soon” and NEVER even got the waiter and we just flagged someone else down to help us. Who was our actual waiter.

Next, all of our food had to get sent back (4/6 people) because the steaks were not properly cooked. Some ordered well done and it was super pink inside. So they brought it back to the kitchen and all they did was recook the outsides of the steak and not the inside that was STILL pink.

Our waiter was Great! His name was Manuel! He helped us and was quick on his feet! He was the light of the night and helped our experience a lot! Thankful for him!

The menu and meal was not how we expected it to be. It was a fine experience. But I would say learn how to approach people respectfully and not with a snarky attitude when they first walk in, even if they aren’t on time. The first impression is always the most...

My today’s experience was extreme (lunch). Service: About 30mins wait until I could order, 1hr wait for my order to come and another 20 mins to get the bill which I didn’t get.

Food quality: cole slow that came next to my steak (similar to salad I ordered in the past) was swimming in the sauce. I provided this feedback in the past already but it never gets better so I wouldn’t recommend ordering any sides that come with sauce because it’s just too much and you can’t taste the food itself. Saw similar reviews so the sauce topic indeed appears to be an issue not just for me. Price: I didn’t check the menu for drinks and was a bit shocked with the price for espresso. Lunch menu was 18,90€ but with the two single espressos it was 26,10€ making one regular espresso 3,60€. Not a specialty coffee so I think it was too much. I asked the waiter to verify and he said this is the price. I asked for the bill but the waiter had issues with the device so I never saw the bill and didn’t want to wait another hour for it. For 3,60€ (or actually even less), you can get extraordinary specialty coffee in other places around so I wouldn’t order it here anymore.

I think The ASH has a good potential to improve and attract customers if they improve overall service and pay attention to customer feedback on food quality especially if same feedback is given by different people...

The restaurant is located in a business district area. There is little to no gree parking or street parking. You have to park in a parking deck across a busy street. This requires you to make a u turn after passing the restaurant. I have been 4 times and each time there was no hostess waiting at the door and the bartenders avoid making eye contact with people who come in the door. The last time I went about a week ago with family visiting on holiday. We waited at the door for at least 10 minutes before anyone came to greet or seat us. Once we were seated we waited another 10 minutes before a server came to us. This was around 14:30 and the restaurant was not very busy. Once our server came and took our order everything was great and came out quickly which means the kitchen and the server are doing a wonderful job. The food was wonderful, hot, and flavourful. I cannot remember my server name but she was Asian and very nice and professional. I have been lucky enough to have her twice when I come to Ash. She is really the reason that I come back because the first impression is not that great. I wish the parking could be better. The menu is nice and had plenty of selections

Overpriced food and drinks for mediocre food (much of it frozen, like the burger patties) and disappointing service. At such price points, I expect waiters to be professional and always courteous. This place is not up to the standard its price level commands. My criticism in more detail: 1) The 350g “boy’s cut” dry-aged rib eye steak for a mere 53€ (!) arrived almost gray on the inside when we had ordered rare, and this on a very slow Sunday evening with guests at only about a handful of tables, i.e., this happened although kitchen staff were certainly not exactly stretched thin that night. To make things worse, our guest had to explain himself to the chief waitress before he got the steak he ordered. 2) The sides were 4.5 a piece, ok in taste, put really tiny portions. 3) The spare ribs (23€) were too dark, almost black. 4) Burgers, which go up to 20€ without a side, are all made from frozen patties instead of freshly minced meat! Many burger joints in town know better than that. As far as desserts go, the nougat brownie is not of the melting core type of variety, so probably frozen too. In closing, I find it disappointing that the menu available online is incomplete.
