Ristorante Punto e Pasta 1998- Frische italienische Küche — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I honestly find it hard to understand why the overall rating of this place is so high. The restaurant does have a certain charm, and the food isn’t bad at all. The pizza I had was worthy of being called an Italian pizza, and the Alfredo sauce on my wife’s pasta was very good.

My review was honest, balanced, and based on my personal experience at your restaurant. I praised the quality of the food, especially the pizza and the Alfredo sauce, and even noted the charm of the place. However, the service on the day I visited was simply not acceptable — cold, almost rude, and it felt like the staff didn’t want customers there at all.

Calling a customer “crazy” for sharing their experience reflects exactly the kind of attitude I encountered during my visit. I sincerely hope you can use constructive feedback to improve your service rather than insulting your guests.

However — and I don’t want to be unfair because maybe it was just a bad day for the staff — it really felt like they were annoyed that there were customers in the restaurant. The service was poor, almost rude, as if we were bothering them by being there.

We found this place through Google and Trip Advisor for having great ratings so we me and my daughter decided to try this place out. Wow!!! From the greeting part to ordering right down to finishing, everything was perfect! I had the chicken mushroom penne and my daughter had the Carbonara. We also ordered an appetizer to start. Everything looked so delicious as soon as it arrived. The server was super polite and helpful. Everything came out in the sequence I requested it and the timing was just perfectly executed. We found this little gold mine while searching "Best pasta in Frankfurt" and we also compared it with other websites and it kept popping up so we tried it out! So if you are from out of town visiting, I strongly suggest you try this place out!! This was our final destination before returning to Canada and this was our favorite restaurant after traveling for 10 days and 3 different Countries! We sat outside which was really nice but the inside also looked really nice and cozy! We could count this experience as a 4th country since it really had a strong touch of Italy 🇮🇹!

There is no standard to any modification to a dish on the menu. The owner is also a racist.

My friend and I went a couple of weeks back for dinner: we ordered a pasta dish but wanted to add shrimp to it. The communication to the owner, who waited us, was difficult - he seemed quite impatient listening to our requests and it took a few times to get our meaning across. He did not inform us at this point how much the modification is going to cost. Later on, we got charged for this other pasta dish with seafood (including shrimp, but other things too) which is 14 euros more. But all of this is for 5 pieces of shrimp! We tried to argue with the owner who refused with a rude manner. It is clear that the owner took the advantage of the fact that we are tourists so he can get away with making up unreasonable prices.

After this really bad dining experience, my friend posted on Google review about what happened. The owner tried to remove the post, and commented that he can go eat dead dogs, which is racist given that we...
