With an event to attend nearby at the convention centre The Pure Hotel was the perfect choice. Located centrally to the train station and the Skyline Plaza shopping centre, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. This place has been put together with clean lines and a lot of thought has gone into the foyer layout. There is also a lovely outdoor seated area for those warmer days and nights. Checkin was easy and although parking out the front is free we had to pay for parking at a nearby garage (19 euro). The room was a reasonable size with comfy bed and lovely linen. Shower and toilet clean with toiletries that were a little nicer than the average hotel. We were offered a complimentary drink at the bar when we arrived - nice touch. Bar fridge well stocked. Only down side was the rim was so warm. Too warm for us Australians. We had to turn the temperature as low as possible and even that wasn’t cool enough. Breakfast was included in the room price so in the morning we wandered down to find about 20 people dining. Where did they come from? We hadn’t seen or heard anything during the night. So rooms are quiet. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of mueslis, fruit, tourists, cheese, meats, hot food and pastry/bakery treats. Wifi was good with a connection that had us both catching up on work. Wheelchair friendly....

I stayed at The Pure in Frankfurt for 5 nights and enjoyed my experience. The hotel is conveniently located near the Hauptbahnhof and I was easily able to walk there for food (brötchen, sandwiches, and good asian takeaway). Although the area is inner-city rough, I did not have any problems and encountered many others (male, female, and couples) walking around safely. My room was on the 4th floor with elevator service. It was small but very efficient with a comfortable king or queen size bed and large desk space including a nice raised area to place an open suitcase. The bathroom had a great shower/tub and was standard size. One thing I really liked was that the hotel gives an option to not have daily service in return for a 5 Euro daily credit. I took advantage of this and enjoyed a nice latte from the bar daily. The hotel also has a small fitness/gym & sauna area in the basement. The equipment was good quality and in top condition, and there were also some free weights, towel service, and two TV's. |All in all, my stay was really good, and hotel staff was super friendly and accomodating. I did not have the German style power adapter and the front desk staff was very accomodating and let me borrow one for a 5 Euro deposit. They recognized me every day and were always super courteous and...

We stayed in late December. When we arrived at the hotel, our room was being cleaned, so we completed the registration by filling out my personal information. We revisited the hotel after hanging out in the city, and another receptionist asked me to fill out the same form. I explained that I already submitted it, but he said he couldn't find it without any intention to look for it. I cannot understand how my personal information was dealt with. On the form, my personal email address, phone number, date of birth, and my signature are mentioned. Even worse, I asked him if I could enjoy Marriott Platinum Elite benefits, such as room upgrade and free breakfast, but he said that the hotel is not a Marriott member and no benefits are available. An electric kettle is not deployed in the room. Although a memo in the room specifies that a kettle is available at the reception, we couldn't get it. The same receptionist mentioned above said that he'll bring it to our room in an hour, but he never brought it to our room. His hospitality is extremely unprofessional. Plus, shady individuals wander the streets at night, and there’s a chance they might beg or even attack passersby. On the other hand, positive points are: 1) within 5 minutes walk from the main station 2) sauna is available on the basement floor (unisex)

I booked this hotel because I was arriving via train and planning on going to the airport next morning (easily accessible through the mainstation via S8 and S9). Area around this hotel is not great. Some could feel unsafe, but it‘s a few minute walk from the Frankfurt main station. Signs are also posted to not carry weapons including guns around that area which I haven’t seen before in Germany. Sidewalks are sometimes blocked by parked cars as well. If I had the option I would stay in a different area next time, in my particular case probably at the airport. The Hotel: Entrance is not wheelchair accessible! Outlets are hard to find. There are none near the bed, but there’s an extension cord behind the desk. The rooms have their best years behind them with scratches and holes all over, and the chalky window in the shower. It’s not disgustingly awful but there’s room for improvement. Color temperature of the lamps is really odd, either really orange or white-greenish. The black out curtain does not cover the window completely from one side to the other. The best thing is probably the Breakfast. A good selection of fruits, joghurt and muesli, breads, spreads, sausages and cheeses, drinks etc. And the staff is accommodating as well even helping us with the luggage up the stairs at the entrance.

I wanted to love this place but can't quite do that. The vibe is definitely as others have described it but there are some pretty big downsides that you should really know about. First, the neighborhood. It's downright seedy. We were followed by a whack job as we walked the three blocks from the train station, we had to duck into another hotel to feel safe and he followed us. Only after the other hotel clerk stepped in did he leave us alone. Alone but rattled. Of course this is not the fault of the Pure but it is indicative of the neighborhood. Second, the lighting in the rooms is plain old awful Putting on makeup when the main lighting in the bathroom casts a Trumpian orange hue is pretty tough. Finally, the windows are not particularly soundproof so we heard a lot of street noise even on the fourth floor. All that said, the location is SUPER convenient and the rooms were clean.
