Vini... da Sabatini — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I would like to share my experience to warn other customers about this restaurant. Two friends and I went for dinner to this restaurant tonight. We initially thought the food was expensive for the quality, but the service was good so we just accepted the fact that we would over pay for average food. That was certainly not the issue. The issue was that we ordered an Antipasto Misto (19,50 euros) to SHARE as an appetizer. We got a big platter that we thought was expensive for what it was but, again, the full menu was over priced so we accepted it. What we were not expecting is that, in the end, we were charged 19,50 euros X 3 for the appetizer (1). Yes, almost 60 euros for a plate with three small pieces of mozzarella, 4 shrimps, 4 pieces of smoked salmon, and that was it. Nothing else, We specifically said we wanted to SHARE the appetizer. It was just the typical tactic to rip off the customer. It is too bad for them, because they made this sale, but they will never see us back as customers. We live in Frankfurt since many years and the bad reputation is worth much more than the little money they made on us tonight. The moral of the story: be VERY cautious at this place when you order. I am posting a copy of the invoice in case they dare trying to appeal to...

Tourist trap ! Medium level Italian food , slow service , outrageous prices & rude behaviour of the owner. I’m visiting every year in Frankfurt & to this place I’ll never come back. After we were seated in the restaurant, the owner said it’s not possible to order from the menu tonight because the restaurant is full , he said that they have a set menu that cost 85 euro for a person , They didn’t mentioned it before the reservation and once we were in we didn’t had a power on 20:30 to go to search for another place to eat. I thought that for the price that they asked for , like it’s a 1 star Michelin restaurant the food will be good. But the food is medium level , for this price they served , antipasti to all the table , a small dish of pasta & fish for the main course.

The service was very slow , the owner is rude , unfortunately nothing was good in this place.

Their are so many good options where you can eat good food in Frankfurt , but it was exhibition week & all places that we know were completely booked, so we booked this restaurant that we found in the Google , we thought if they have good rating so it’s good place, Huge mistake!

On the next we eat on our hotel , the Hilton Frankfurt , the food was perfect & the price...

Outstanding food, service, and ambience - I've been to Vini da Sabatini over half a dozen times, for both business functions and private dinners, and am always pleased to return again.

Food - excellent homemade pasta and fresh fish. I highly recommend the octopus salad or grilled calamari as starter, the spaghetti with truffles or European bass as a main course, and the berries and vanilla ice cream for dessert. High quality tasty Italian food - great (see attached pictures).

Service - the staff is extremely friendly and attentive to your needs. Both the waiters as well as the owner Mario are very dedicated and professional, and take care of guests very well. In times of Covid-19, there are dividers between seating areas and the staff wear masks.

Ambience - the restaurant is small and cozy, with good lighting, a great location in Westend, and comfortable seating (including outdoors when the weather permits).
