Really nice concept and location.. I had high expectation based on the reviews I saw. I ordered bulgogi bimbimbap + yangyeom chicken. Pls note you pay extra 1.50 for the fried egg, which usually is included at other places. There was no kimchi in the bimbimbap, it does not come with any banchan too, which is a norm in most korean restaurant. Food is fresh but taste average (vs. other Korean restaurants) & the portion is small, compared to the price you pay ; this could be due to the location. The soju which you can buy for less money at the Asian Markt is overpriced here at 9.90, not an issue for me but noticed this when I picked up a drink. If you're a foodie familiar with Korean cuisine & restaurants in Germany, I'm not sure you'll be impressed here. Top few restaurants to visit for some good assortments of korean food. I have been visiting this restaurant regularly (both takeaways and dine-ins), and the quality of the food that I ordered were always consistent.

Some of the dishes I will recommend is korean fried chicken (personal favorite is Ganjang flavor) and bimbimbap (you have to pay additionally to get a sunny side up). If you get to dine-in, I will recommend to get the stone pot bimbimbap.

Just be careful that the Gochujang (korean chili paste) is quite spicy so be careful if you can't tolerate spicy food. Note that reservation is not available and the seatings are quite limited. The restaurant can be very crowded during weekends, so it might be a better idea to get takeaways or dine-in during weekdays. Kimchi Guys bietet koreanische Gerichte an, hauptsächlich Bibimbap.

Es war das zweite Mal, dass ich Kimchi Guys besuchte. Einmal im letzten Jahr und einmal in diesem Monat.

Letztes Jahr fand ich das Essen dort richtig lecker, als der Laden noch nicht über Social Media gehypet wurde, weshalb ich mich entschied, das Restaurant dieses Jahr auf meinem Foodtrip erneut zu besichtigen.

Leider gab es dieses Mal kein Kimbap. Nicht weiter schlimm, denn es gab auch andere koreanische Gerichte, die angeboten wurden. Ich entschied mich für Rabokki (Ramen mit Teokbokki) und Fried Chicken mit Sweet & Spicy Sauce. Zusätzlich wollte ich Soju (koreanisches, alkoholhaltiges Getränk) bestellen, doch ich entschied mich dagegen, da eine Flasche fast 10 Euro kostete, die man im Asiamarkt für 3-4 Euro erhält.

Als ich am Tisch war, wartete ich vergeblich darauf, dass jemand den Tisch abwischte und die Getränke Wasserflecken vom vorherigen Gast entfernte.

Die Gerichte waren diesmal nicht so gut wie in meiner Erinnerung. Das Fried Chicken war gut, aber die Soße war nicht lecker. Das Rabokki schmeckte mir überhaupt nicht. Die Nudeln waren pappig, es war kaum Teokbokki im Gericht. Es war leider eine große Enttäuschung und ich ließ viel auf dem Tablett zurück.

Mein Fazit: An sich ist Kimchi Guys recht solide. Es kann sein, dass es am Besucheransturm bei meiner Besuchszeit lag, dass mein bestelltes Essen diesmal nicht so gut gewesen ist. Ich erhoffe mir aber als Kunde, gleichbleibende Essensqualität, egal zur welcher Zeit ich das Lokal aufsuche.
