L'Osteria Hamburg Fischmarkt — Restaurant in Hamburg

Whilst getting the chance for a table and the wait staff tried to accommodate me it was actually barely worth it. The order was taken and after that the waiter disappeared. He came back with the starter. After I tried to enjoy my starter with dried rocket on it, no balsamic to accompany it.... I was sitting there with my empty plate, waiting that it might be cleared eventually. The plate then got cleared after 10 min ish by bringing the next course. Served with a spoon. The gnocchi gamberetti drowned in there own sauce and it was more like a stew. Beside the fact that the dish was tasteless, the gambas slightly overcooked I can only say the massive amount of bread was good. I tried to adjust the flavour and adding pepper and some cheese..still.. not very tasteful

I was declaring the dish as done by putting my cutlery in the correct way... The waiter wasn't seen. For another 10min. At least on my table. He was happy to be on all the other 3 tables around me.

I decided to pay the bill at the bar and the staff told me to wait for the waiter.. I did. I paid. I left. The place has its vibe but it feels that they rely more on location than service.

Nice location yes, but don’t bother with online orders. The quality is inferior (brown salad, missing ingredients, burned pizza etc.) as compared to what is served on location and any extras ordered and payed for will be 8 out of 10 times ignored unless the order has completely gone lost. These cocky non performing units in the kitchen are either completely ignorant or illiterate or both. Unbelievable substandard which should be instantly replaced.

Update April 2021: I ordered insalata casa which was full of sand from top to bottom. The sounds and feelings between my teeth… Disgusting. I had to dump it. Where do you find this kind of kitchen staff? Who is supervising them? I was close to call the public health department. Beware. That’s...
