Nakama — Restaurant in Hamburg

Got really mixed feelings about the place. First, the bad points: sushi were very thin cut, therefore by serving 8 of Nakama sushi's there was a feeling that you actually get around 5-6 pieces at max. Therefore I would call it pricey and not matching the description. Also that relates to the contents of the sushi (some sushi maybe) - there is a lot of filling, so it is good, sushi are delicious, fresh. However, I have faced that, for example, sushi that should have mango inside, actually had a extremely thin peace of not ripe mango. I would say "sushi may contain traces of mango". Pointed it out to the chef, he could not find a mango from the outside, said that it is "somewhere inside"...

Cash only was accepted at the night, which could be a problem sometimes. Normally they also accept debit cards (no credit cards - read the signs!!!). Please reserve just to be sure,but be aware of fines for not showing up

To the good points I can relate service - even though with a small language barrier, the service was super fast!

Will I go there once again - probably no. But can I say, that it is a definitely bad place - also no. Quality is good, just the details are...

WORST BIRTHDAY EVER!!! Worst restaurant ever! Beginning first with the Table reservation, it is actually the first restaurant with an online reservation in which you have to add your credit card information in case one person does not show off, you will have to pay at least 40Eur. Secondly, the service and waitresses (especially the Blond GUY) were awful, we waited for our meals 1 hour and to get assisted at least 30 minutes. This is the worst experience ever!! It was my friends 25th birthday and I can tell from her look, it was the worst birthday ever! They DO NOT deserve even one star but google WONT let me publish this without stars!! AND IF WE HAD BEEN 8 PEOPLE we would have NEVER eaten AT ALL AND HAVE WAITED LONGER PERIODS. How pathetical you guys are, the food it is asian but there are at least 20 more restaurants with fresh,...

Typical Asian/Japanese fusion restaurant. I'm giving this place three stars for a few reasons, one being the layout of the restaurant itself. You are sitting pretty much 3m from the main road and you feel it through the big windows and the open door of the restaurant..... they need to do something about it by either adding plants or bamboo shoots to block the street view. Secondly they made mistakes with the food..... We told them about allergies and they served the food with the items we asked them to exclude, thirdly the fried banana dessert they serve needs to come with ice cream, the way they serve it is pretty bland. All in all they could be much better but I really like the fact that they had a nice whisky selection...
