Café Park — Restaurant in Heidelberg

My go to Café that i visit almost every time i'm back in Heidelberg. Not only is the coffee really good, but it's also a perfect place for hanging out or doing some work. I wrote half of my thesis there, the atmosphere really helped my productivity. As well as the coffee. but in all seriousness, this cafe has what a lot of cafes in Germany dont: Wifi, electric outlets for your laptop at every seat, and no pressure on you to leave quickly. It's just friendly and lively there, and if you go there regularly you can bet that the owner will have memorized your regular order. speaking of ordering things, here's what i usually get: Matcha Latte (actual good matcha!) Yuzu tea (taste-wise it's in between an orange and lemons, really good in winter!) Tiffany soda (i know it says camomile tea and that doesnt sound that tasty but it tastes very different from what you'd expect, very refreshing) Bingsu! in summer there's Matcha Bingsu or Patbingsu, which is really...

This place is very friendly in all ways!! I really appreciate all the little gestures it offers Firstly, its friendly to customers with laptops: there are always free tables, sockets and free wi-fi. As a student, I value this a lot. Secondly, as for milk choise, there's everything! A lot of places have only oat milk as an alternative, but here there is also mindal and lactose free milk, which I like better. Coffee is amazing — one of the best in Heidelberg in my opinion. The price is 4,5-5 euros for a big iced latte, I find it reasonable)) It can be tough to order if you only speak English but the owner's very attentive, you'll be fine. Ich war im April das erste Mal im Café Park und seit dem ist es mein absolutes Lieblingscafé! Die entspannte Atmosphäre ist ideal zum Tagträumen, Lernen und/oder Freunde treffen und besonders für K-Pop Fans ist es ein guter Ort, um die Musik zu genießen und mit anderen Fans ins Gespräch zu kommen. Die große Auswahl an Getränken lädt zum Ausprobieren ein, denn neben den klassischen Kaffeespezialitäten gibt es noch eine Reihe an sowohl kalten als auch warmen Kreationen, die man so in keinem anderen Café in Heidelberg bekommt. Der Vanilla Latte und der Watermelon-Rosemary-Tea sind meine absoluten Favorites, aber auch der Matcha-Latte wird von allen Matcha-Liebhaber:innen sehr gelobt! Zudem gibt es im Sommer Bingsu, eine koreanische Spezialität, die aus geschabtem Milch-Eis (erinnert mich von der Konsistenz her an frischen Pulverschnee) und wahlweise Matcha oder einer süßen Bohnenpaste als Topping besteht. Das Café ist keine Kette sondern wird liebevoll vom Inhaber geführt und ich finde das kann man auch in jedem Getränk und jedem Bingsu schmecken! Der Inhaber ist super freundlich und merkt sich schon nach ein paar Besuchen welches Getränk der Gast häufig bestellt. Ich habe in den letzten Monaten wirklich viel Zeit im Café verbracht und noch nie(!) erlebt, dass er zu irgendeinem Gast unhöflich war. Die wenigen Kritiker:innen hier haben offensichtlich keinerlei Manieren, denn es ist doch wohl eine Selbstverständlichkeit, dass man als Gast in einem kleinen Café auch irgendetwas konsumiert und sich nicht einfach nur hinsetzt… das würde man in einem Restaurant ja auch nicht machen. Bei der heutigen Wirtschaftslage haben es kleine, individuelle Cafés/Geschäfte schon schwer genug und wir wollen doch alle nicht, dass die Innenstädte noch weiter aussterben oder überall aus den gleichen großen Ketten bestehen.

Für mich ist das Café Park zu einem Safe Space geworden den ich nicht mehr missen möchte und ich kann jeder Person einen Besuch...
