Eisflakes — Restaurant in Mannheim

Hyped I would say. We also went here viewing the photos over the Instagram but I was disappointed with the taste we order there "Venice Beach" which had cashews ,vanilla(vegan) ice cream some nuts and probably the flakes. But as far as the taste is concerned it was too sweet and apart from the crunchy texture which was good I don't see they did justice with the ratings and hype that's around. Although that's only my personal opinion as we went there with loads of expectations. But the guys(staff) were really nice and polite so the ratings...

I tried the Chinese pancakes (soufflé pancakes) and they were fine, although different from what I expected. The texture of the batter was almost like eating a marshmallow. The fruits served with them were fresh, and the sauces were very flavorful.

The staff was friendly and attentive. You pay at the counter first and then wait, in some cases they bring the order to your table, and in others, you have to pick it up yourself. Overall, a pleasant and...

Wir können uns der Begeisterung für dieses “Eis” nur bedingt anschließen. Ambiente und Bedienung waren nett, wobei wir nach Bestellung aber auch trotz nur zwei Gästen vor uns rund 15 Minuten darauf warten mussten, außerdem wurden mehrere Sachen vergessen. Die Spezialitäten mit Brioche oder Pancakes sind sehr gut und originell. Auch die “Mix-In” Extras und Toppings/Flakes sind gut, teils originell und die Aufpreise dafür angemessen, nicht wie so oft, dass man für ein paar Zuckerstreusel mehr als für das Eis bezahlt. Bis hierhin würde wie vier Sterne geben. Aber das reine Eis war für uns (wir machen seit 15 Jahren selbst privat Speiseeis und helfen ab und zu in einer Eisküche aus) leider nur ausreichend und eher enttäuschend und bekommt von uns nur 1-2 Sterne. Ist mit dem guten “Drumherum” erträglicher und würde als Cafe/Bistro insgesamt noch drei Sterne verdienen, aber da es (wenn wir uns nicht täuschen) an erster Stelle eine Eisdiele ist, steht für uns das Eis an erster Stelle und wer hier nur reines Eis ohne etwas dazu nimmt, wird unserer Meinung nach eher enttäuscht, daher als Eisdiele nur zwei Sterne.

p.s. Wer ist denn der "Eislieferant"? Man kann auch 40 Jahre lang mäßiges Eis machen. Ist wie gesagt für Eurer Konzept auch ok, nicht so gutes preiswerteres Eis zu verwenden, aber mit einer sehr guten Eisdiele hat das dann eben wenig zu tun, maximal eben ein...
