Café xoxo hugs&kisses — Restaurant in Mannheim

We were looking for an açaí bowl spot in Mannheim and stumbled upon this cute little brunch café. The prices were really good for the portions they serve, which are quite generous. I think it depends on the dish, but overall, it’s just the right size for one person, no need to be too greedy!

We absolutely loved the food, the quality was great, and everything tasted amazing. They also have a lot of options for brunch, and you can even host your own event there, which is pretty cool.

The only downside was the matcha. For my taste, it was way too sweet, so if you’re looking for authentic matcha, this isn’t the place. But if you like your matcha on the sweet side, you might actually enjoy it.

The place is very cosy and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were also served very fast, which is always appreciated.

The food was hearty, although it could benefit from more refined dressing (salad all over the salmon instead of 3 clear toasts). On the other hand, this gave the plates a simpler look which is also nice !

Prices could be a bit lower for the quantities, although the plates left us full (just comparing price vs quantity here, not whether the plate was full or not).

Last comment about the menus, which could have everything on them, instead of flying papers (maybe a digital version could solve this ?).

Such a beautiful place is not always found. I love the design and very beautiful everything. We enjoyed it very much, it has a lot of seats and the staff were really nice. We had a really beautiful breakfast, the waffles are very good and tasty, and I really like its design. Perhaps the only thing is that they should ask if maybe someone is allergic to some fruit because I have seen that compared to the photos the ingredients often change. I would definitely stay...
